TheHoodedMan:
Does anybody has experience with a mixed troop of oop chaos dwarves and the forge world miniatures?
How do different units look together on the table, for example Big hat bull centaurs and forge world warmachines or infantry?
I would appreciate if anybody could throw a link.
Thank you again,
Ernst
Bloodbeard:
With a good paint job: same effects, same washing. Paint uniforms. A little extra details on the bases, to make the army lok coherent.
I’m certain it will work!
Admiral:
Do it! A coherent colour schem will carry the day.
Never forget that the big hats and masked models will complement each other wondrously. Especially since Infernal Guards are the Chaos Dwarf equivalent of Slayers, and as such should look different from ordinary Chaos Dwarf warriors. :hat

If you ignore the poor paint job, I have the FW command painted with some big hats;

TheHoodedMan:
That`s great, thank you!
Although there are some differences they fit together pretty good.
(I hope my paint job will be nearly as good as yours by the way).
Abecedar:
I think its mostly that the “big hats” have really “Big Heads” compared to the older and newer models
TheHoodedMan:
Youre absolutely right. Thats a change of design that is also true with the “normal” dwarves. But general size, weapons and armour fit quite well. One could also base them different ground level so the difference is not so apparent.
I probably wouldn`t put classic models in a forge world infernal guard unit because all of them are similar posed. But I think there would be no problem to combine them with the war machines or use some character models.
Helblindi:
These guys have been touched and changed by chaos. A little head-size variance is to be expected
