[Archive] Mutant & chaos snails

Sombregrund:

Hello everyone. I apologize if this has been asked already. I am new to the Chaos Dwarfs and recently came across the snails on Scibor’s site. Are there any relevant and balanced rules out there for reference in using these in gameplay? Thanks a bunch for any help.

Nicodemus:

I haven’t seen anyone present any yet. You could easily proxy them into games using them to represent Forgeworld’s Plague Toads. There are some rules on the FW website for them, but they’re also in the Storm of Magic book.

Besides that though, I think you’re still proxying them.

Sombregrund:

Thank you for the idea. I just like the weirdness of them really…I will admit that I laughed at em’ at first glance (Chaos SNAILS!!! What?!!) but they strangely grew on me. They would most definitely make for good conversation at beer and pretzels home games.

lostmember:

Some kind of poisonous trail would be fun…bit of a pain to work in game terms, but it’d be worth frying. They should also be auto-killed by the Foot of Gork spell (or whatever it’s called these days).

Hashut’s Blessing:

They grew on you? Get up once in a while, dude :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I’d say Plague Toads (the ones with Plaguebearers on), Plagueriders (check Storm of Chaos) or Beasts of Nurgle.

Thorne:

Damn that was another one of my weirder concepts out of the window now. I had planned up a bike type squad using chaos techno magic powered snails as bikes too. Odd the things you can muse up when sketching oddities of chaos.

Wifstrand:

If you wanted you could use them as K’daii Fireborn in the Legion of Azgorh list. I can’t remember the relative size of the snails, though, so I may be wrong. Anything goes in friendly games
