try to find the “macro” function on your camera, usualy it’s a little flower like icon. it helps to get good closeup pictures with the function turned on.

Also make sure there is alot alot of light. The brighter the better. The more light the better a camera will be able to focus on the model. Just make sure you have light coming from multiple angles so you don’t get shadoes.

This looks great so far, but I really think you should try to take a better picture.
Turn on macro, zoom out as much as you can and move the camera closer instead.
