nitroglysarine:
I’m planning to make a CD Mordheim warband.
I’m a little unsure weather to make a ‘count-as’ either Carnivalle of Chaos, or Pure-Dwarf. Which do people think would be better considering my Mantic style of models?
Also what is the start point for a warband? From what I remember (its been quite a while) Its a leader, two champions, three grunts and two younglings? (kind of?)
Sorry for the ignorance, its been around 10yrs since I last played a warband, and I can’t find my old copy of the rules, and i’d like to start working on them.
Pre-emptive-ta for help.
Khan!:
Rules can be found here!
You get 500gc to start out with a warband. So you’re right about how it usually works out vis-a-vis your first members, altho it depends on how you arm them of course.
If you plan on converting minis in your mantic style, the Dwarf warband would be easier for you to get your point across in my opinion. Carnival of Chaos is Nurgly clowns and Plaguebearers in jester-outfits. Truthfully I think the main appeal of the Carnival is the theme, which is watered down a bit with a counts-as list.
nitroglysarine:
True, the Chaos warband would make more sense really.
Time to get thinking about how to convert them to look a tad different, hmm.
So i’d be looking at
A Noble
Two Champions
Three Warriors
Two Beardlings
as a start point. Yeah that works for me.
Tarrakk Blackhand:
I think rules for Chaos Dwarfs in Mordhelm can be found in Word of Hashut 1. (It’s been a while since I looked though.)
nitroglysarine:
Yeah, the mates i’m playing with want to stick to word 1 of the rules.
-yeah I know, but I thought make a count-as-dwarf one, and I can always switch if they agree with the rules.
