[Archive] New Empire Stuff Pictures! (Demigriffons added)

Discoking:

One I think you missed

Why a two headed griffin?

Murdock129
No, I posted it (Post: #16)...
Hahjahahahahahs

Zuh-Khinie:

Why a two-headed griffon? It says so on the picture… because it’s a ‘creature whose origins remain with Chaos’

zobo1942:

I think these can no longer be called ‘miniatures’. We need a new name… like ‘maxiatures’.

That sounds like a heavy flow tampon.

Time of Madness:

Over the top in my opinion…Would have liked to see them stick to some of the basic stuff, like new knights for example.

Time of Madness

vulcanologist:

The more I look at

Them the more bizarre they seem! The griffin is way too big an it’s head is in the wrong place! The warriors seem more chaos than empire and the wagons are just plain ridiculous! Why couldn’t they have just brought out some nice new regiment sets! I hope the dwarfs get better!

Thommy H:

Two heads > one head.

Zuh-Khinie:

The new warhorses pulling the carts give me some hope that they’ll release new knights as well. Maybe in the second wave?

Yeah, I agree.
Bretonnians do need to be re-made.
:hat off

warh:

I like the fact it’s head is small, makes it look more boss.

The only thing I don’t like is the chest plate. Don’t think I will buy it but I hope I’ll get to paint it for display or something as it looks fun to airbrush.

Samanos:

the gryphon is awesome. demigriphs as well.

im not really sure about the altar chariots. they seem so small… i’ll stick with a converted corpse cart (or three :))

Witch hunter FTW!!

aside from that if u look to the picture with the book in the eft u can see a box with the HE spearmen from IoB.

are the being released at last?

gIL^:

No new plastic knights?

Is that a Las Cannon?

Nice Griffin!

Ogre_Mage:

Still haven’t touched my last purchase of $600 in VC, as I’m slowly working on my DE… but I will be buying at least one of each of these, I love them all. Something I’ll check tomorrow is the named characters to see if the master of the colleges of magic has changed.

That said I hope the rocket battery gets fixed.

The Odor:

I am stealing that Priest/Solarsystem/DOOOM Laser Clown Car thing for a Warshrine of Slaanesh… So boss…

Beast magic has the new Patriarch.
Hence all the Amber wizard models.

The only amber wizard that surprised me was the gryphon one. I didn't like the box of wizard's amber build.

That said my next FW order will include the reaper to lead the new troops.

I learned that last week.

Blue in VT:

The Griffin's head looks about half the size it should be.

EDIT: It should look more like this:

zobo1942
that looks Much better! the whole thing is still WAY too huge but with your head it is at least proportional.

Blue

Thommy H:

I do like it with the little head, actually - I think it looks the wrong scale with the photoshopped one. As it is, it looks like a Griffon of the right size compared to the rider, but bred to be incredibly powerful. Like a massive, stocky prize bull or something. I don’t know if the “Imperial Griffon” will have different stats from the regular Griffon of previous publications, but the logic of it being specially bred for war in the menageries would make sense. That would explain its disproportionately deep chest, etc.

Baggronor:

Its an odd one, isn’t it. The body being large is because puffed up feathers will do that; looking at the rear quarters of the lion, I think the head is actually the right size - its the front feet that are oversized (presumably because, in the same way that realistic weapons look ridiculous and tiny in the hands of 28mm men, realistic claws looked a bit underwhelming). Just my suspicions.

I like the whole OTT ‘Griffon rampant’ feel to it.

Anyway, are we actually debating the accuracy of a model of a mythical creature?
