Amazing detail…but OVER the TOP Huge and therefore pretty ridiculous in my book. The Griffin’s in particular are just way outsized.

The Griffon might just be the worst model GW have produced since Nagash. Dreadful.
The War Altar is nice, a decent update of a model that was showing its age; the wizard platforms are just silly; the Master Engineer is ridiculous, but the Witch Hunter is really nice; the front cover of the book is awful (worse than Vampire Counts). And presumably the lack of State Troops photos means they’re sticking with the current models, which are just horrible.
Overal… not impressed. I’ll probably get the Witch Hunter for use in WFRP though.

Luminark of Hysh –> The first Warhammer Fantasy LasergunNo, that would be the Skaven Warplighting cannon. I do like the two magical altars we see. I hope each of the Winds of Magic will get their own altar. Would certainly be a prime incentive for conversions.

Agreed that the front cover is terrible…when I first saw it I actually thought someone had put a clown nose on his face to be funny…sadly that is not the case…
I think all the alters and wizard platforms are just WAY too tall and elaborate…those things would tip over on the slightest bump…stupid looking. The demigrif cav is also a stupid idea IMO…whats wrong with regular knights?
I would agree that some of the individual character models are quite nice! the witch hunter is great!

GIANTS… I think sculptors of GW confused OGROVs and the Empire. If everything develops such rates that soon we will move on the miniature desktop in height to human growth

The wizard engines look a bit daft but the WAltar looks ok. Imagine the Mortis Engine you could make from that kit though…
I quite like them overall, the Griffon looks quite cool. The Demigryphs look small, but those are chariot bases they’re on. Think they’re bigger than they look.
Don’t quite know what is up with the red nose man but the painting itself is much better than the VCs/OKs covers.

Teehee, I love my Halfling Baby Griffon even more now next to this gigantic monster.
In general I like the new minis, but I don’t think I will get any of them. Just looking forward to the rules so I can make some Halflingized alternatives!

Looks like my star dragon - a millenia old creature with 7’s almost across the board for stats - is going to be one of the smallest monsters on the battlefield at this rate.
I like the witch hunter though. Takes me back to WFRP in the 80’s…a grim world of perilous adventure.
