3 sets of cards
book
1 box of dragon ogres (BC Taur’uk conversion)
2 chariots
1 ultra forge plague demon (in the spirit of things)
yes, 3 sets of cards is a bit much. But these are limited and I tend to lose things

@RichardC
They do produce nurgle type ones, I have the command group for them. I just prefer the details and the heads on the other ones and imo they are superior models. I believe it’s 17 models per box, including parts for a command.
Blackspine:
How are those AoW Chaos guys? Has anyone seen them up close? Or does anyone have a review with nice pictures and parts breakdowns? They look pretty awesome, but I haven't been able to find out much about them beyond what is on their website. Here's the Corrupted (aka nurgle) ones.

Got the book today. I like it, because I like the 8th Edition books in general, but I can’t help feeling it’s a little…squashed. Warriors of Chaos generally get a longer book than everyone else because, y’know, Chaos but this is very specifically the same length as the rest, despite the army having more units. It’s even shorter than the 7th Edition book, but there’s a handful of new units included. Most of the bestiary pages are split between two entries, and the background is quite perfunctory in places. So yeah. All the new stuff is good, I like the rules, the army list and everything, but I feel it could all use a little more heft. They should have bitten the bullet and made it a longer book.
Also, I know it doesn’t matter any more because Tamurkhan and blah blah blah, but there’s very little Chaos Dwarf material. The Hellcannon’s in, obviously, and they get a mention in the timeline (as part of the entry about Tamurkhan attacking Nuln), but that’s all I’ve spotted so far. Nothing about them forging Chaos armour or making weapons or war machines for Chaos now. But, as I say, there’s less background overall anyway. No room for the Dawi’Zharr this time around

The book, cards, 4 chariots, slaughter brute, horned lord (all purchased). Really like Throgg, but still debating on if I should grab him or not. None if my items have arrived yet so I can’t comment on any of the figures yet.

I bought a chariot and dragon ogre kits. Stealing as many weapon pieces as i can find and probably the horses from the chariot for more BC’s

For those that have been reading the new WoC rulebook… it looks like the Warshrine now blesses D3 MODELS, whereas the old one blessed a single UNIT. Is this accurate? Does the Warshrine no longer enhance units?
JMR:
Correct. It blesses models with the Eye of the Gods rule - all the champions and characters (with some exceptions).

Thommy H:
Eye of the Gods can now only affect characters anyway. It’s quite a bit different than in was in the last book - just stat buffs and a chance of Spawndom or Daemonhood at either end of the table. Plus the Warshrine itself has been completely reworked into a kind of chariot with a bound spell. You can’t even really compare them between the two editions.
ryanamandaanna:
I concur with Thommy about them not even being comparable; I need to get in a few games to get the feel for it… here’s to hoping that I have daemon princes cropping up all over the place…
Animatone:
Nope, no lottery... but funny. One of my closest childhood friends and gaming buddy co-op quite a bit of our armies, so we split a lot of the cost. Like I buy all the warhammer army books, he buys all the warmachine and hordes ones. I buy some warhammer figures, he buys the terrain. We trade off or chip in on the cost. The book, cards, 4 chariots, slaughter brute, horned lord (all purchased). Really like Throgg, but still debating on if I should grab him or not. Can anyone who’s bought a Slaughter Brute give me a size comparison with the Stonehorn/Thundertusk?
I’m contemplating it as the basis for my K’Daai Destroyer.
Cheers

P.S. I bought the magic cards just incase I ever decide to do a Chaos Army.

I started putting mine together last night and it fits together like crap! Or else I’m just a monkey that doesn’t know how to use glue. Once mine is assembled, I’ll give you some dimensions on it.

In 40k People dont like it because then the guy loses his magic weapon. oO

I´m planning to pick up one of those tzeentch beasts (mutalith?). It will be great as an hellcannon in my Chaos Dwarf army.
Even if I already have a regular metal hellcannon…

It’s almost identical. The way the special rules are explained is slightly different, but mostly they’re in line with the last errata for the 7th Edition book (i.e. making its rampage follow the Random Movement rules) so it’s mechanically identical. The only real difference is it now has a 5+ ward save and all its attacks (including Stomp and shooting) are magical.
