Really nicely executed and an allmost complete collection there. Cool that such old models stand the test of time if painted and based to a high standard.
2nd and 3rd edition though. Just started collecting them myself.

He has 5 times as many first edition models in his case at Hobby Central.

Could you ask him to show us photos of everything, lots of nice close ups and write a bit about his collection? Would be awesome if he has time

what “legal” army list he is playing with? lookin at that display board I can’t recognize… maybe dwarfs?
Bloodbeard:
Jacob Fathbruckner ran this army as a Dwarf army, but it was entirely made up of the really old Chaos Dwarf models from back in the day.

ThorAxe:
That an asscanon near the back? Lucky, lucky guy to have one of those…
Beautiful army, fairly certain most of that could be run in current Tamurkhan rule set too…
Pyro Stick:
Yeah thats an asscannon. Very nice looking army. Needs more mages though…
Bloodbeard:

Heavygear:
I will ask him. He is pretty busy these days running for public office and
adding to his collection. He started talking to the people at Ironwind miniatures. They have most of the old Ral Partha molds including many early citadel molds. Somehow he talked them into pulling the old molds
from storage and casting them. He is sorting all of them for them in exchange for one of each casting.
Heavygear:
Jacob looked at Tamurkhan but didn't like it. He said the points prices were too high. He likes to have three big blocks of dwarves preferably with GW. He said there wasn't enough points left over for anything else after he paid for core. He plays these as vanilla dwarfs instead.Jacob Fathbruckner ran this army as a Dwarf army, but it was entirely made up of the really old Chaos Dwarf models from back in the day.

Jacob just hit the nail on the head about my feelings for Tamurkhan. I like to spam infantry, and Ravening Hordes was good at that (Though it was lackluster in every other aspect really), but reading this made me realise how much I missed being able to do that

You can play chaos dwarves that way but you miss out on some of the flavor. If all your taking is 90 dwarves and three cheap warmachines plus characters and maybe khans in place of gyros, then it should be doable.

Wow! What a great looking army… love the deep red color scheme… and if he’s playing them as Vanillas… the shirtless dudes in the back must be slayers. I’d like some clearer pics though for sure…
