I know this shouldn't be on this forum as it is not a GW product-There's quite a bit of leeway!

The one set looks like the guards from the Wizard of Oz…
Nostromo:
Flying Monkeys or the guys with the rubber halberds?
Though flying monkeys would be an interesting addition to an LoA list!
gIL^:
Not only that but he gives sweets with each purchase! :hat offI like the Heresy goblin archers a lot; does anyone have experience with the company?100% reliable. Andy Foster who runs it is a good guy.

labrat:
I will start a thread when available-
but it is mastered and currently going to production.
Hoping to have the first run for sale by Adepticon- or about mid-April.
but I have been burned on release dates before!
The Hobgoblin Chieftain will be the first of the hobgoblin series with more to follow.
Our current line will be distributed by Gorgon Studios, a bit of a departure as they have focused on ancient historicals.

brought myself 4 boxes of these to use as 2 units of 20:
http://www.manticgames.com/Shop-Home/Advance-Orders/Advance-Order-Goblins/Product/Goblin-Spearmen-10-Figures.html
Got them for £10 as friends sell for them.
They said they are bringing out a plastic range of goblin archers soon, which will probably be 20 plastic for £15
Kera foehunter:
the cost of 5.00 dollar a figure lol you can make them !!
you can even male them pirates hob goblins
Doombeard:
mantic and heresy are my favourite options at the moment. mantic for large horde type armies, if you check the artwork in the tamurkhan book their goblins are the closest thing to it so they will match pretty well with the wolfriders. am eagerly awaiting the archers to be released, 20 archers for about 10/15 pounds compared to kitbashing about 3 different sets together for a lot of $$$ to get really tall minis with small gnoblar heads just seems a bit pointless to me, the proportions look good but arent quite right.
heresy make awesome minis , i just bought a load of undead/vampire counts stuff from them, their ghouls regiment is hands down the coolest ive seen , they arrived within a couple days and yes there was free sweets and a thankyou note from them handwritten. the quality of the minis was high, very good sculpts better than GW in some cases .
Grimstonefire:
That is a direct copy of artwork by Adrian Smith for Chronopia. I hope Gorgon Studios have asked permission.
Not a bad sculpt. I considered doing that one myself a few years back.
Willmark:
What I did was use plastic goblin wolves and convert [[BFSP]] goblins to make wolf riders.
For archers and cuthroats I bought a boatload of 4th/5th edition hobgoblins. In the end well worth it.
Grimstonefire:
I’ll be putting pics in my blog at the weekend, but I’ve got some of the new GW wolves and it’s very easy to get a stormvermin to fit it (for those doing them like me that were wondering). So easy infact that although it wouldn’t look as natural it would be entirely possible to make a decent looking HG wolfrider from the stormvermin with no greenstuff at all!
fattdex:
Look forward to seeing it! I may end up building a unit on your reccomendation. Whether i ever field the awful things is another question
Grimstonefire:
I might as well put the ‘before’ pics here and the ones with greenstuff ones in my blog. I must admit I am surprised how good it looks without any greenstuff. Some of the joins are a bit unnatural without, but still not too bad imo.
I know they are not in the Gotrek and Felix novels (regular gobbo wolf riders are), but I wanted something that felt like it could have been. If you know what I mean. I’ve succeeded in this I think. May seem strange, but because of my happy memories of reading the part of Trollslayer when I was starting out in warhammer, dwarfs and gobbo wolf riders are actually the quintessential warhammer creatures for me.
Bits:
Fenris wolf
Stormvermin body and arms
Clanrat spear top
Gretchin head
Skeleton shield
Edit. Rumours are that we’ll see the WF hobgoblin wolf riders at the open day.

Thommy H:
Looks fine without green stuff to me - I’d happily field those as is.
Kera foehunter:
Wow!! very disapointed in the new wolf looks more like a shape shifter/ werewolf
Singleton Mosby:
Bits:Very nice. But wouldn't the cost be rather steep due to the number of kits needed to make these?

fattdex:
We run forgeworld armies. Such things are not counted
Grimstonefire:
Yes, it would be expensive if you didn’t already happen to have them.
cornixt:
Sounds like you’d only have to buy the wolves and Stormvermin if you knew people with an O&G army though. I have so many spare heads, arms, and shields from various armies.
I was hoping the wolves would be more natural looking, but they seem to have gone for an almost anime look.
