Dînadan:

Anyone read it? If so, how do you like the new art style for it?

Not sure what to make of the new style myself. It’s not bad per say, but it does look odd compared to the art at the end of the last arc and at the moment I think it’s lost some of the strip’s charm. That said I think it’s probably best to give it time to settle in before passing definitive judgement; after all the art has evolved over time, so this could just be the next step in that trend and by the time the strip ends will be just as iconic as the style used up until now.

Grimbold Blackhammer:

Banjo the Clown does not disapprove.

snowblizz:

Big fan.

Not liking the new arms and I’m iffy on the legs as well as off #948.

Someone called it the uncanny valley and that sort of sums it for me.

Dînadan:

I don’t think it’s quite got to the Uncanny Vally yet, but there is something unnerving about the new limbs. To be fair, I think it’s made worse because of the contrast with the previous style - if it was being used for a brand new webcomic rather than a sudden upgrade it would probably be less jarring.

NoisyAssassin:

Ya know, I had felt somethign weird about the latest couple of comics, but couldn’t quite identify what it was. I hadn’t even consciously noticed the art change! Guess I’m so used to reading webcomic archives front to back that I never associate any one style with a comic because they all evolve over time. That said, the pseudo-stick figure thing is a little off. The hands especially are sort of creepy. Overall don’t like or dislike the change too hard right now.
