Pappa Midnight:
After a bit of a slip in my painting due to work commitments I finally managed to get some paint down on my chariot. The sorcerer is attached by a magnet so I can use him elsewhere.
Hope you like it:

Slavemaster Hod:
Really well done. This is an awesome conversion and an excellent paint job. The red and gold really turned out well, and he badgers are perfect.
Abecedar:
Ditto. very, very nice
Pappa Midnight:
Thanks gents. This is one of my favourite minis to paint so far. I am a little disappointed with the positioning of the sorcerer as he is a little low behind the driver even though he is stood on a small platform. I was contemplating building the platform a little higher ( like a small pulpit ) so he’s looking over the driver’s head but it starts to make the model look unbalanced. At the moment it sort of looks like the sorcerer is hiding behind the driver although he could possibly be using him as a shield from incoming arrows.

Helblindi:
Looks awesome!
I seriously don’t get why everybody wants lava bases, though. Sure, we live in volcanic areas, but typically, one would avoid the lava streams in such cases Seems especially hard for chariots.
Kamphre:
Your painting skills are out standing !
May I ask you how you do your red ?
Pappa Midnight:
Looks awesome!Thank you. I know exactly where you're coming from with the lava bases. My bare-footed giant would have issues and my badgers would probably set their fur on fire. As for driving a chariot across a lava flow....

Your painting skills are out standing !Thank you. The red is "Tamiya Clear Red" applied over the top of silver to give a metallic red effect. Hope that's helpful.

Carcearion:
Really great chariot, love the Lashman and the Sorcerer and as always really love the metallic red and now that I know your secret I finally know what to do with my Dark Eldar! Mewhahhaha!
?do you think the technique would work out with a midnight blue? :hat off
Willmark:
Woah…
This certainly has my attention. Great stuff!
Fuggit Khan:
That is one sweet ride…‘Pimp my Ride’ Chaos Dwarf style. I agree with Helblindi that I’m not a fan of lava bases, but I totally understand the theme behind it. It’s a brilliant conversion and worthy of slaves…I’m sending you 40 slaves :hat off
Pappa Midnight:
Thank you for the comments and the slaves!!!
?do you think the technique would work out with a midnight blue? :hat offI found this on zerofour gundam. It’s a comparison pic using Tamiya Clear Blue over the top of different base coats:

Abecedar:
I’ve used the Tamiya clear colours on white to create gems. Easier for me than the ‘proper’ way.
Timothy Archer:
Very cool chariot ! nice conversions
that is inspiring
congrats !
Carcearion:
Oooh thanks so much! I agree I think the gunmetal or the black with Tamiya Clear Blue ontop might be just what im looking for! Thank you! :hat off :cheers
Admiral:
Top-notch! Flawless and gorgeous.
Pappa Midnight:
Thank you for the comments!
Abecedar: I have done similar using a silver base for small jewels.
Carcearion: You are welcome! I would like to see the results ( Dark Eldar were always my favourite 40k army)
BTW I think I may have mistimed this one considering the subject matter for the Golden Hat. I will have to get cracking on something else…

Excellent conversion work. I had my doubts, but I stand corrected. Wonderful colors and a great mix between light and dark. :hat off
