[Archive] perfect warhammer music

gIL^:

well few weeks back i was going through my girlfriends albums, shes got some terrible cd’s like james blunt! but then i saw a band called rhapsody.

it had some awesome art work, like an elf fighting a dragon, so i thought why not. i cant believe i missed these, you can tell these guys watch conan every day and read tolkien. one album has the actor who plays saruman talking in intros lol.

Pyro Stick:

Good Find. Ill have to look into this band a bit more.

Malificant:

ive always been quite partial to frank zappa when playing warhammer myself:o

Pyro Stick:

Im more into death metal myself. I guess dragonforce, eventhough it is quite lame, could be good for warhammer since they go on about dragons and fantasy stuff

Malificant:

actually, in all seriousness i simply like epic movie soundtracks. gladiator, LOTR, master and commander, pirates of the carribean, kingdom of heaven, king arthur, etc.

Pyro Stick:

Yeah epic movie soundtracks are immense. I love LOTR soundtrack. I guess i should look into those others as well.

gIL^:

i would think these guys have epic music like conan and lotr intros, there basically the predecessors of dragonforce, with solos like steve vai and the voice can keep up with our own freddy mercury.

so if your not like me and you dont like lotr kind of music you might like it anyway, download it

pyro : dont listen to it for 5 mins, listen to every tune, only take you a day or so, cos it really grows on you

Kera foehunter:

Ha ha gil has to steal cool music from his girlfriend. That ok music but i perfer Funky or more jazz over classical movie them music. It makes me fall a sleep!

wallacer:

Not sure about Warhammer in general, but for CD specifically you can’t go wrong with Die Krupps (particularly “Metal Machine Music”).

gIL^:

ill give it a try, ty

cornixt:

Armenian? You might like System of a Down then, they use loads of Armenian stuff in their songs.

I think using fantasy movie soundtracks is a bit of a copout, far too obvious. I listen to whatever is on hand at the time, so usually metal or rock.

ashghar:

hi guys

i think that the good sound for a warhammer match

is mainly heavy metal

or some goth-metal stuff

there are also a lot of mediev-folk-metal band like:

corvus corax , in extremo or korpiklaani

try it…

bye

ashghar:

ahhhh

and don’t forgot Manowar!!!

Pyro Stick:

Man o War are not that good. And i dont see how Goth metal goes with warhammer?

Malificant:

if anything amon amarth is a good metal band for warhammer. failing that, iron maiden goes with anything given the right song.

Amon Amarth are the best!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Theory_Man:

For Chaos Dwarfs, the piece that “fits” them the most would be Christopher Rouse’s work, The Infernal Machine, IMHO.

Kera foehunter:

O boy here we go!!* Kera ducking out of the best goth band ever thing.

Sorgenkammer:

Yeah rhapsody are one of those bands i would relate to warhammer, i have four albums and i recommend them to any metal fan who like a bit of folk as well.
