I highly recommend this podcast. They’re long, so it makes for good background listening material.
A recent episode reviewed the Chaos Dwarf Indy GT book, and the last few episodes were a bit amusing for me. Take a listen to episodes 20 and 21.
Glimpse the Void:
I’ve been listening to them for a while now, but that episode converted me to Chaos Dwarvism.
While we’re on the subject, what are the other shows you guys like? I spend about 2 hours in the car getting back and forth from work everyday, so I burn through a lot of podcasts. I like pointhammered, heelenhammer, and waaghcast.
I used to listen to podhammer, but it got so long and the actual gametalk was replaced mostly by schoolboy sniggering and in-jokes that I stopped bothering. I listen to Adam Carolla’s podcast, but he isn’t really gaming related.
I enjoy listening to:
3 Die Block - http://threedieblock.libsyn.com/
What Would Patton do? - http://www.whatwouldpattondo.net/
I used to listen to ‘Podhammer’ as well, but I got sick of all the profanity.
I listen to both pointhammered and waaaghcast I know all the people on those shows. I roomed with the waaaghcast boys for Waaaghpaca. They are all good guys. I have played all the point boys in games now and they are a lot of fun to play against
Though pointhammered, waaaghcast, and garagehammer are the three I mostly listen to.
Glimpse the Void:
Podhammer was my first podcast love, and has grown to become such a deep disappointment. I’ll have to look for the others you guys have mentioned. These casts are the only thing keeping me on this side of sanity on the road.
Episode 26 is out, there’s a breakdown of all the Tamurkhan chaos dwarf rules releases to date. Good stuff.
Nerdist is a very good podcast too. Not gaming related, generic nerd stuff that may include references to DnD and stuff like that.
Apart from a few earlier mentioned podcasts, I also listen to ‘Meeples and Miniatures’. This is a wargaming/boardgame/Card game podcast, and he talks more about the indy games (FNG, Flying Lead, Songs of Blades and Heroes, 5150), than warhammer or warmachine. He is based in the UK, and has interviewed a couple of miniature sculpters/distributors, and also visists some of the games conventions in the UK. - Listen to me, I sound like a fan-boy…ha ha ha.
You will want to listen to episode 27 of Garagehammer.
There is a shout out from me to my first round opponent (fans of the show will know him as The Cranky Lawyer) at Blood in the Sun who is playing Dwarfs.
It’s a classic Chaos Dwarf mocking of a Dwarf!
Nice one Swiss, that was a fine shout out! It seemed to get Chris quite excited too.
