[Archive] Potential hobgoblins from Wargames Factory

Thrud:

Check this out ! > wargamesfactory.com - wargamesfactory Resources and Information.

Described as orcs but they would make awesome hogoblisn in my opinion. Besides, Wargames Factoy’s miniatures are usually cheap, so it could be a good deal !

Edit : The “orc” with the eyepatch really reminds me of the hobgoblin concept from Warhammer Forge !

Khan!:

I saw the digital greens for those the other day. They would make perfect hobgoblins, I agree. The scale of the models is still up in the air tho, they might be too slender to fit next to ‘regular’ CD models.

nitroglysarine:

Thrud, i love you, that is EXACTLY what i’vce been after.

will definatly be pre-ordering

Khan!
It's not exactly precise but they are stood on regular 25mm round bases so... about human tall by my estimate.

Father Grumpmas:

I’m thinking these guys as Hobgoblin warriors and Mantic zombies as Rabble and one could run a massive horde army without selling both kidneys.

zobo1942:

Holy cow! Er… I mean, Holy Hashut! I can’t believe how inexpensive this stuff is! 8 figures… for five bucks!? 32 for… $20?!

EDIT: I hope these ‘orcs’ cost the same amount!

And then:

I do not like the bare head look and thats a weird pose for a Archer, isn’t it?

- but other then that - all-in-all - a big improvement from Wargames Factory. I’ve been very disappointed about their quality til now. Still a few issus here - especially hands and shoulder joints - but for a horde hobgoblin unit - I could live with that.

About time. Everyone always said said how expensive GW was, but then failed to find any comparable figures that were more than slightly cheaper.

I'm thinking that these are going to be multipart plastics and should have swappable arms, so the body might not be "meant" for an archer.

Not a fan in general of the heads myself, but I'd probably just stuff GW heads on them instead.

Those are not final models either if I remember the what they said in the link.

nitroglysarine:

I like them, only modifications i will make is to ‘choas’ them up a bit, add a few spikes here, a bit of chain there and a odd bit of scale mail.

clam:

@Snowbliss

Agree, a head swap would certainly do them good. So, anyone knows of any Mongolian 28mm heads out there?

And I’m sure that these comes from the final tools made. Don’t think there is any business case in having 3up made into plastic - and the change them. But yes, probably just prototypes of what’s coming.

Preach it! Preach it! I'm pushing for us to lobby by the Hand of Hashut for them to make a Chaos/Evil dwarf sprue! It's the perfect setup for them AND us.
