Have to say I thought the idea was clever and well executed. Yours was near the top of my list. Nice paint result and great job using 3D printing too. Look forward to seeing more from you on this. Need to get my 3D printer built. Cheers!

What kind of printer do you have? Ive just got a reprap Prusa i3. I thought it would be so much easier to build but once it got to the electronics i started to panic. Luckily i have an engineer friend that helped out with soldering etc.
Ingenious creation, characterful to boot. The steering wheel is my favourite detail. Do you plan to put it on a base?

I always wanted to put this and my old juggernaut on a base but then it becomes a question of storage. Right now its a lot easier to store them without a base so if i ever made some it would just to make it easier to move around during battles but doubt they will get much use anyway.
The Dark Tower from Macrocosm finally arrived. Still working on building it but I honestly have no idea what I'm going to do with it. Its huge. I don't have an iron deamon so i don't know how the size compares but thats probably all i could use it as. If the old juggernauts didn't have the spikes coming out the sides they could fit inside the dark tower. Only issue i have with it is that it doesn't look very chaotic. The hammers on the wheels and the other adornments look very dwarfish so im going to have to think of a way to fix that. Maybe some chaos shields and chains on the sides. I would have been fine if it had been a lot smaller as well to fit in more with the original. As it is it feels a bit chunky. A paintjob will probably fix that though. Im pretty sure theres enough room on each tower for 4 models so thats cool, unless they have really big hats. Im sure i could get 4 crossbowmen on each level. (edit: the lower platform can only hold 2 because of the supports)
I would like some advice on bull centaurs. Im trying to have a big clear out of all my extra/unfinished models. Ive got 9 bull centaurs (original metal ones) and only 5 are finished. Ive started and stripped these models so many times that ive completely lost interest in them. I actually thought i had a lot less so now im not sure what to do. I could sell 1 and finish a unit of 8 or i could sell 4 and complete a unit of 10 when my Lost Kingdoms order, shown below arrives. That will probably be the last addition i make to this army unless FW or GW release new CD kits. LK BC's are smaller than the FW ones so will fit in better with a unit of the original bull centaurs. How good are bull centaurs in Age of Sigmar anyway?
That Dark Tower from Macrocosm is HUGE! I love it! I can definitely see one of those on my painting desk in the future. Thanks for the pic, it's the first time I've seen it.

Its definately a lot bigger than i thought it was going to be. I was hoping it would be more true to the original. Ive finished building it now so ill throw in some blunderbuss or something to show the scale. I wish it was skinnier though (thinner walls and wheels), and more multi part, and with guns that matched its size but it was probably easier to cast this way. If i can get hold of some Hellcannon wheels i might put them on there.
That's some cool Lost Kingdom stuff. Can't wait to see what it looks like with some paint on it.

Yeah the Lost Kingdom stuff looks awesome. It took a long time to grow on me though. I was so glad when they showed the axe and shield options. They look a lot better than the first ones he showed off with the massive swords. Those just looked a bit static imo. The crossbowmen look even better. I think this range is going to be the next best thing to GW releasing new CD units, or maybe if AOW were to finally make a chaos dwarf warrior unit.
Big, but not necessarily a bad thing. Hellcannon bitz improve everything. Go for it. Good plan to add further details, it will be necessary to make the colossus shine. Details are for the most part bland at the moment. Nice troll driver! Perhaps you could use the new tower as a K’daai Destroyer on magnetized base? Or an Iron Daemon, if your playing mates don’t think it too oversized? It should make a good terrain piece in games if nothing else.
3D printer finally coming in handy haha. Found these cool 20mm square to 25mm round base adapters. I just finished printing them so this is just a quick photo with a phone.
It seems like 3D printers have endless uses for Wargamers such as ourselves. Buying one is out of the question for me (the good ones are still just too far out of my price range) but shapeway looks like it might be a good option.

Yeah they seem cheaper than they should be but mine arrived fine and even came with extra hand weapons and shields. The flash on the bits was insane though. They took a lot of cleaning up. That was a few years ago though so maybe things have changed since then. They are a great cheap alternative to forge world infernal guard. There were a few air bubbles around the feet but they have such a beat up look already that it isn't really an issue. I think I sent admiral a quick review of them along with some unboxing photos for an issue of WoH that hadn't materialised yet.
