As for me, for some reason I think that Immortals should be Halberdiers.

Dumb thought....why isn't there any Dwarf Saws? It's a wood cutting tool.It's a terrible weapon of war. First of all, a wood cutting saw would break it's teeth very quickly against any metal. Secondly, it's a very slow use item. You couldn't do more than scratch someone without taking several minutes and holding them still.

Chain saws are different, but would still break their teeth incredibly fast against an armored foe. Spraying the user and everyone else with sharp, hot, metal shards.

Well, there's other types of saws (more specifically saw blades), which is why I specified wood saws. There's saw blades made specifically for cutting wood, some for metal, and some for cutting both. However, a traditional Chainsaw weapon (One with a mechanism much like a chainsaw) would become clogged with soft materials like skin and tissue much like a chainsaw can get clogged with wood fibers. which get carried along with the teeth and lodge in the internal mechanisms.Hm, this calls into question just how cool it really is to have chainsaw-swords in 40k. For a future weapon I'd prefer a vibro-blade, which vibrates extremely fast. I've used metal etchers which work on similar principles and can write quickly in titanium like it's butter.

On another note, I can see Chaos Dwarfs using a lot of demonic or steam weapons.

I could see the Chaos Dwarfs creating some contraption for the Hobgoblins to ride off into battle… something akin to the car in Army of Darkness… with spinning blades. A lot like the whirlwind, but with a bomb installed in it… be it normal or arcane in nature. That way the hobgoblins would impact an enemy unit and do some damage and then once they plowed into the unit a bit… BOOM.
Then again maybe that is just my megalomaniac tyrant speaking.
