Here’s my old converted Blood Bowl orc army, est 1999. The Goblins are the remains of my Goblin team, that repeatedly lost until someone pointed out that they were designed to be the worst team in the game. They retired soon after and I bought a box of the new plastic Orcs.

The best model (and probably one of the best I have ever painted) is Nobbla Blackwart with the chainsaw. The colour scheme of the original goblin team came from how I tried to paint him without it looking bad. The model has such an odd assortment of stuff on it that nearly every colour scheme looks bad on him, but I think I managed to pull it off in all areas. He has a couple of aircraft decals on him as Danger signs.

The Orc with the big white horns is what I used for Varag Ghoulchewer. He has the metal Orc Boss head and a knuckleduster from an Orc boarboy sword. is base it weighted down to stop him falling over due to being so front-heavy. The Linemen are 40k Goff Orcs (drafted in as I ran out of the other plastic Orcs who were upgraded to BO and Blitzer positions - originally the whole team was regular plastic Orcs), the Black Orcs are just Orcs painted dark green. The Fanatic is from Talisman, two of the Goblins are from 4th ed Warhammer and converted - one has a scratchbuilt pogo stick.

Nearly all could do with a new paint job, only a few have more than a couple of colours on them, and there is almost no shading or highlighting of any kind. The greenslime is my score marker that I sculpted out of luminescent Fimo for D&D. A friend broke a finger off and I have attempted a repair that looks worse that the original damage.

Digging through my models because of the new version of Blood Bowl, thought I’d take a picture of these. Not quite finished, but playable quality.
