Obsidian:
Vallid point there Thommy H, I once had to remove 5 shields from some models at a Grand Tournament because according to them, they were not GW shields! (They actually were though, lol)

Xander:
The models were made from scratch by members of CDO, so I am sure I will be able to swing it. They will small potatoes next to the masses of other GW product.
Plus this isn’t a competitive tourney or anything, it’s hosting a free game table.
clam:
All alternative GW models are sculp from scratch - so don’t get the point in that. And these miniatures can hardly be called scratch build by a member anymore - as Baggornor now mass poduce these and sell these through his shop. Think you know that already as you did the homepage
Can only agree to what has already been said taking non GW miniatures to one of the most hard core GW events in the US - is ‘probably’ not a best idea i’ve heard ??!!? We want to leave a good impression , right?

Since I’m going to be there, I can donate some of my Dawi for the day if you need it…
Xander:
Well, the Immortals (by Grim) use many Chaos bits and aren’t commercially available. Almost all the weapons are from the Warrior, or Mounter Marauder sets and so are all the command components; they look like conversions.
Baggronor’s troopers, however, will be a tougher sell, I agree. I originally contacted Bagg to see if I could get the Lord model which fits in quite nicely with Grim’s Immortals. He sent me a bonus unit, because he is awesome. So if those troops have to be sidelined, so be it. It will be sad, but yes, you never know how strict they are going to be.

Thommy H:
Yeah, I was talking specifically about Baggronor’s models. Since he’s selling them, they’ve now technically crossed the line into “alternative company figures”. I mean, I don’t care, I’m just pointing out that you’ll need to be careful at a GW event. Hopefully the table should be big enough and cool enough that you can just let them slip under the radar and call them conversions if you have to. Either way, it was just a friendly warning in case it hadn’t occurred to you!
Grimstonefire:
If I were Xander and they asked me I’d just say I didn’t believe they were for sale, they were cast from scratch sculpted models. Let them try and track down the site.
Worse case scenario they get put back in the box.
I’m actually really keen to see my models painted up. You’ve done a great job with the weapon swaps.
clam:
I can’t disagree that both Grim’s and Baggronor’s models are excellent examples of, what CDO is all about - and what we as community are capable off, but don’t forget, that this is not a regular miniature/gaming convention/exhibition - but Games Workshop’s Games Day we are talking about. The hole idea for being there is to let GW and Warhammer players know that the Chaos Dwarfs are very much alive and kicking - so ‘we’ would want to make an good impression on both organizer and attendances. This is a convention for GW products and will be filled with GW fan boys, not known as being that tolerant. I’ll hate to hear afterwards that Chaos Dwarf Online was those that were band or something similar.
Xander:
As Grim says, at worst they’ll have to go back in the case.
More pics soon!

Fequiil:

Xander:

Xander:
So over the past two days, thanks to a snap in the humidity, I was able to prime a ton of miniatures!
25x Slave Brutes
20x Immortals w/Command
12x Black Orcs w/Command
25x Warriors w/Command
20x Warriors
Slaves and Immortals are the priority at present! I will likely start painting them tonight. Seeing as I only have 2 weeks to get all of this done, I may go for a simplistic scheme just to get them tabletop ready. After that I can add more detail.
I’ve also prepared my Blunderbussers for casting. So I will likely created the first half of that mold tonight!
Stay tuned for pics!
