I can’t believe I agree with metro about something…
It’s worth bearing in mind that, from GW’s point of view, we’re not actually very good customers. We insist on playing an army that’s no longer supported, and so have to buy our figures from ebay, use other manufacturers’ models or convert - best of all, some of us actually cast our own Chaos Dwarfs from their parts, directly reducing their potential income!
I’m sure they find out loyalty touching, but they’d much rather we were loyal to whatever army just came out rather than one they stopped caring about a decade ago. Money trumps dedication.
So no, they don’t owe us anything.
Willmark:
I agree they dont owe us anything. Thats the way capitalism works. I’m not even going to revisit in full the dead horse of the models and how to make them nowdays. That horse has been beaten, shot, made into glue, resurected, shot, buried again and done once more for good measure…
However I will point out its a chicken and the egg situation regarding chaos dwarfs as far as GW has handled them.
Jervis was nice enough to point out GWs plans (to a point) and what armies must have going forward: a rule book and CORE plastic, any thoughts of appearing in someone else’s armybook is going to be in for a huge let down as its readily apparent GW is moving each armybook to its own stand alone entity.
Bottom line is unless someone has a crystal ball…
Willmark:
Well, GW continues apace with CD removal. The new US website has the removed from the HoC section.
Arlon:
depressing is on any of the others
Kera foehunter:
Haha !!! i make my own toy solders i bypass gw!! i use old rules !! there 4 i don’t need gw
AGPO:
it is totaaly unfair. they should re release cd instead of adding new races hint ogres, demonsDaemons aren't a new race. They have been in warhammer since the Realms of Chaos books came out and have lacked a full and proper army list and range of models since 5th edition. Ogres were introduced as a kit available to people playing any army, which is sensible practice from a business point of view. I would point out that if you browse every forum you will find people moaning that their army needs an update, then when the update comes they winge about their army being "nerfed."

Though I was hoping for Fimir crewing it [the hellcannon]... ;)
Willmark
* Being committed to keeping them in the Warhammer world does not equal a commitment to them getting an army book. Fimir and Jabberwocks have had passing references in recent GW material but I'm not waiting for the army listsLol Wilmark so was I!

I was looking through the edition and found some stuff on the Jabberwock, He appears in 1st ed in the forces of fantasy though its pretty much just a stat line and nothing more, it returns in 2nd ed with fluff and pic and again in 3rd ed with fluff and pic.
Would it be ok to scan the pages and post them up here?
Obsidian:
Hmm, I know I even had the model itself once so there is a good chance you’ll find a pic of it on Solegends.
Xander:
Heh, let’s keep this on topic guys!
AGPO:
Nice try Xander!
@ Deebo - We have plenty of other official GW artwork so a pic would be fine. The stat lines would be greek to me anyway. I don’t think there’s an issue with quoting fluff so long as you reference it.
Deebo:
Ok so I will just scan the pics and then type out the text and put it in a new thread in the Warhammer Discussion topic.
Willmark:
Warhammer forum is more appropriate for such a topic.

but did they REALLY need the thier own army book?
metro_gnome:
but did they REALLY need the thier own army book?did we?
zorn sabretooth
Willmark:
Are you expecting anything less then a yes here?
metro_gnome:
if “do daemons deserve their own book?” is somehow a valid question…
then yes… i expect the same logic to be applied to the CD situation…
if you believe the answer to Zorn’s question is “no”…
then the answer to my question is “no +1”…
Willmark:
Here’s a novel idea how about a book for Daemons and one for Chaos Dwarfs, shocking I know, then everyone wins.

Willmark:
From a modeling perspective I’d say this website has plenty of life left. If we should get a new book then the hub of the chaos dwarf universe if you will!
