Bloodbeard:
When the weather is good, I have no interest in miniatures or gaming. This hobby is for the cold and dark days (half the year in Denmark). This time of the year I’m outside, all the time. Bonfires, shelters, BBQ, wood work, prepping, gardening, playing with my kids.
A couple of years ago a friend got a letter from Google and some money. Part of the advertisement money earned from her videoes - of her eating candy. I set myself the challenge, that one day I wanted money from Google as well. Nevermind how much, I just thought the achievement was cool
That’s the idea behind my summer project.
RosentjørnI just uploaded my first ever video to Youtube. All done by myself - filming, editing, translating etc. And it’s completely outside my comfort zone.
Gear for bushcraft and being outdoors - done cheaply.
Often there’s a direct link between price and quality. Most of the very cheap gear is garbage - but some of it is worth a lot more than it’s price.
Our goal is to test, use and break different kinds of survival gear and bushcraft techniques. We want to recommend you the the best gear, for the lowest price.
Rosentjørn is for you if you:
- Know there’s a connection between price and quality - but also that cheapest is garbage and the most expensive don’t give you worthful advantage.
- Want to know what gear to start out with in bushcraft - to not go broke on start up.
- Fear the Zombie Apocalypse may come - and need better chances in rural areas.
- Need inspiration for gifts to the person who has everything.
When we recommend a piece of equipment, we guarantee that it’s something we use ourselves. We promise to always be truthfull in our an about tests of gear.
Remember - we are not trying to find the best gear out there. We are trying to find the gear that works while still being affordable.
Remember - only buying cool survival gear will not raise your chances of survival - training with your gear will do that.

I’m a teacher and as such always trying to get better skills in communication. This is a way to train that. Making better videos, sharper points, fun references, usefull tips - while remaining true to myself.
I’m no survival expert, and I don’t want to ever become an classic “internet expert”. I’m a dad, a husband, a teacher, a veteran, a geek and I like being outside. That’s important for me to get through in the videoes.
I plan to do future vids in english as well. But there’s many english videos on this stuff on the web - but very few in danish. I’ve added english subs to the video.
CC are always welcome from the great community here. And as anything internet based, a way to help the project is by: sharing, liking, thumbs-upping, subscribing, commenting etc… You know the drill.
