Even if you can’t use it for a game, this could look AMAZING as the centerpiece for a display board when you go to tournaments.
I would not make the comet spell part of any of its effects, just due to how nasty that spell can be, and how people would react to the concept itself.

That is why I put a couple of extra choices. I kind of like the Glacial Barrier to stop troops and block lne of sight. Maybe make it a 5-7 inch wall if it doesn’t directly hit a unit. Hits a unit and it covers the entire front rank. Consider it a large immoble chariot when in play. That and Earth Shakers cold really stop an entire army in it’s tracks.
