Obsidian:
They are from the GW collectors range based on the Lustrian Vampires/Pirates fluff.
Maul:
Where does the fluff originate?
Loki:
If i am wrong please correct but i think they are all based on the free port of sartosa if i remember correct which is where all the pirates of the old world hang out and trade, its mentioned in a few books (fell cargo for one) they where original intended for release with the pirate zombie list that came out some years ago which was all based around a vamp called Luthor Harkon, who was on a ship as cargo and turned all the crew to zombies and they continued to sale the seas as un dead pirates, was a very cool list zombies with deck guns was on of my favourite bits about the list

Sartosa is mentioned in the 5th ed DOW book, being close to Tilea and a former citystate, before going all out "ARRR".

Dannyfave:
It is a very good thing they relese them though, as there are many players such as myself who are more into painting than playing.(Don’t get me wrong though, I do like to play and have won a few rouge traders but I mostly go for the best painted prize)
Maul:
The models are part of GW's "new" sell-models-we-have-made-because-well-for-some-reason-we-can't-remember-and-doesn't-come-with-rules-please-buy. AKA known as Collector's series.Don't you just wish that logic would trickle down to something like marauder chaos dwarves?

I would settle for just plain logic from GW, but I agree it would be nice. The models are part of GW's "new" sell-models-we-have-made-because-well-for-some-reason-we-can't-remember-and-doesn't-come-with-rules-please-buy.
