Doombeard:
Baggronor:
Yeah, its pretty nice. If only I had tons of money and a massive house to put him in.
Admiral:
Haha, well put Baggronor.
Very nice miniature, and great work of GW to release him.
But as a Dwarf player to and through, my eye is drawn instead to the architecture and all that treasure. GOLD!
Bloodbeard:
Ahahaha. The description is fantastic.
This magnificent 42 piece miniature is hand cast using the highest quality resin (the same used by Forge World), and the most advanced techniques to produce a model with extremely fine detail.Nice of them to point out that they’ve made a quality resin miniature! And that FW resin is better onviously better than finecast.
Time of Madness:
Really nice model!

That’s a dragon! Mivrash Faz salivates at the thought of binding him to Hashut’s will:hashut
Skink:
Y’know it’s in cases such as this that I regret that Tolkien models can’t be pictured in Warhammer armies (GW still has this rule right?). Cause I would definitely put that thing to aid my Chaos Dwarfs in battle…

Oh my god, have you tried to zoom into the last pic? The skin is sculpted with a very fine scale texture. The nerd and the modeler in me are going mental! Honestly, sometimes I’m in awe of how much the miniature industry managed to improve its product’s quality over the last few years. Because really, when I started it all looked like this.
Mivrash Faz:
Glorious! What attention to detail. So life like.:sick

Yeh, Yeh, Yeh. Just something else I’ll never be able to afford, or be allowed to buy, or find a practical use for once I’ve got it.
I know, i know, I know, Thats never stopped me before!
Lucifer:
i had official confirmation from GW RE no LotR/WHFB …
and now, there is no problem. my question specically asked about hobbit eagle however the reply suggested thst i could use any modeks i wanted from that range
Admiral:
You only have to care about such rules if you enter GW stores or tournaments. For all other occassions it will be fair play, although it might be hard to use Smaug as a K’daai Destroyer or similar monster due to base size…
snowblizz:
It’s not that big really. It’s only on a Mumakil base after all.
Forgeworld Emperor Dragon seems to have been bigger. Although they have removed that. If only I had my Heresy Dragon™…
Yodrin:
I have that model somewhere, I think its still pretty nice;)

Smaug i a very nice dragon, great piece actually, though I like my dragons standing up a bit more;)
Kera foehunter:
I wish he be in warrhanner 28 mm scale not 25 mm lotr scale Size matter when it comes to dragons:hat off
Thommy H:
I don’t think it makes much difference when there’s no set size for a dragon, Kera!
torn:
yes i agree miniatures were much cooler in the old days ;)
