i like to see this hurray up !!!Be patient! Stripping Plastics takes much longer than stripping metal because you have to use a weaker liquid and soak the plastics in it for a while (over night/12 hours or more). So i will post the guide tomorrow morning. Its mainly going to be aimed at those of us that live in the uk since we dont have Simple Green.

I’m really really sorry. It’s just if you saw the pile of casualties out here you would want to tell someone to. I’m looking forward to the article,I just jagged it ,no idea of the finer points, again sorry, regards, dragoncrag

i find brake fluid best for plastics
X-Porter:
Super Clean (Formerly Castrol Super Clean) works well for stripping plastic.
It’s an engine cleaner/degreaser, active ingredient is Sodium Hydroxide (Lye) same as in Easy-Off which some people will recommend for paint stripping but I haven’t tried.
I’ve seen Pine-Sol recommended for stripping paint, but it doesn’t work nearly as well and it WILL attack polystyrene, so I’d steer clear of it.
Super Clean works on metal minis as well, but it seems to corrode the older white-metal figures so be careful.
Tarrakk Blackhand:
I usually use Easy-off oven cleaner. Let the models soak in it in a tin Tuna Fish can for an hour or so, then scrub them with a soft tooth brush. Easy off will eat away most “Fat” based paints, such as Testor’s Oil based Enamils and Citadel Water Based paints. It won’t remove Laquer paint, however.
I doubt any of us are painting Plastic mini’s with Laquer as Laquer contains “Hot” chemicals which can melt plastic - same chemicals as in the liquid glues. However, if you find Laquer on the metal models, soak them in Laquer thinner.
