I will be placing a FW order late next month, and need to decide if I want to order the Taurus. I think I do not… I am just not a big fan of the model.
I’m considering the OOP / GW one, as well.
I’m willing to pay the same price to buy components to do a really good conversion (i.e. I’m not trying to save money) but I haven’t found any really convincing bulls. Lots of toys, but not detailed enough.
Anyone have ideas / links to fantastic bulls that have been used for conversions (not low detailed toys)?
Or search for the OOP one on e-bay. Ironically, because people can buy the FW model, old Great Tauri go relatively cheap these days. You can find a couple for 50-60 dollars.
Well, I got smitten with the Sphere Wars bull. Found in stock and ordered from Battlefield Berlin for $50 USD shipped.
Any idea of a set of wings that would be the right scale? Thinking of using the ones from the big Vampire Counts Terrorgheist, but not sure if they’d be oversized.
It’s not as big as one thinks - you may, as I, just be able to fit it on a 40x40 base. The wings I used are the black dragon wings, I seem to remember.
Jake, that looks fantastic! I have bid on a set on eBay ending tomorrow (no one bid against me, please ;)) so hopefully I can do the exact same conversion. Did you have trouble attaching the wings / have to do anything creative there?
A little pricier than I’d hoped, but worth it! The second highest bidder had the exact same maximum bid as mine ($22.22, oddly enough!) but I won since I placed the bid first!
Now for the waiting… I imagine it’ll be a few weeks until the bull arrives from Germany.
