Bloodbeard:
Here are some greenstuff tips og pointers (despite having made 70ish beards I still improve):
You need to cut more of the plastic away than you actually think. Heavy cutting.
Super glue is your friend! Make your sausage of greenstuff and superglue it to the model. Makes it a lot easier to make the braid of beard. Then superglue the next sausage to the model.
Work on more than one model at a time. Make the first couple of braids/curls and let them dry completly. So you don’t squash them by mistake.
Your might want to cheat. I’ve done that for a couple of beards aft=http://shop.greenstuffworld.com/roll-maker-set]Greenser getting tired of squashing my work (ad before starting to use superglue). Check out this tool: Roll Maker
And some good purchases you’ve made their. Looking forward to seeing your stuff.

Very good tips, Bloodbeard! It’s also possible to just fasten the green stuff tightly onto the model as a big lump (rather than individual braids) without super glue, sculpt out the various braids and attack it with your sculpting tool or even your hobby knife. If this method is used, I find it paramount to press the sculpting tool like this into the green stuff: _/_/_/
Albeit with rounded corners. It’s pretty quick and simple work once you get the hang of it. That way, you won’t end up with flat braids ( |||||_| ) but get a nice 3D depth out of them. And, as a Hellcannon crew fanatic, I think more fine lines in the beard are always for the better. Good luck!

I’ll get some photo’s tonight but I am fairly certain that I have cut away enough of the models, I think I have actually cut too much away from the Dwarf Torso as I can just about see the tab where the front torso meets the majority of the warrior base I’m basically left with this with the head and arms attached and can clearly see through the gap when the weapon arms are attached

I’ll have a look at the Greenstuff Roller thanks for the link, I have also tried with Guitar wire but it does not right at all it is much too thin for what I want, I will try it again with Bass Strings. I know that I need to keep trying with the Greenstuff but it is frustrating but at least soon I will have something to paint as well as making slow and steady progress on my Destroyer Ziggurat Base
