Hi everyone,
As said in the introduction thread, my vision on the CD background is a lot different then usual. Hmm… WHere am I talking about, I’ll just tell it you, the forgotten tale of the chaos dwarves.
Long ago (sorry, I’m not excperienced yet with the WH time settings), when the old ones stil walked the earth, the dwarves where born. Guided by their ancestor gods, searched for a homeland. They discovered it, but it was under the control of thousands of foul and green-skinned creatures, orcs. After years of war, where only the strength and stubbornness kept the dwarves alive, they where victorious. Years past and the dwarven stayed in their beloved mountains, digging and mining. Until a young dwarf techonologist, asked why they didn’t try to use their tehcnology to look in the deeps of the Worlds Edge Mountains for mithril. The dwarven lord declared that it was unpossible and that it is forbidden by the Ancestor gods. But the technologist gatherd his followers, left the dwarf folk, and marched towards the world edge mountains. But after long days of digging and mining there, they found out why it was forbidden but their all known gods. Because in the deeps of those mountains, a great evil was lurking, waiting for the right moment to appear. Some say that it was one of the great daemons of old, others that he was one of the ancient old one gods. But in the archives of those dwarves, he’s known as Hashut, the lord of shadow and darkness.
And now, it was time. He called them, his future slaves, the mining dwarves, evil goblins and other creatures that lived in those mountains. He called them. Asking them to dig deeper and deeper. In the beggining, the dwarves didn’t knew what was calling them, they thought it was just their mining beloved heart. But how deeper they digged, how more control Hashut gained. They weren’t attacked enymore by orcs, goblins and other foul creaturers. No, those were waiting, waiting for something they didn’t even knew what it was. But even before the dwarves finally befreed Hashut, this new colony of dwarves gained their first enemies: their own brother dwarves. Because on a day, a scout team of the dwarven kingdom was sended to find out wat happend to them, as the new colony didn’t sent any messages from the moment on that Hashut started to gain control of their minds. The result was cruel; when the colony dwarves realized that the scouts hindered them in their work, they slaughterd the team without shedding a tear. This with the result that the dwarven kingdom started to hate those apostates of the Worlds Edge mountains…
Then happend the unavoidable, the dwarves freed the lord of shadow from his stone prison. Imedately, Hashut called all his minions to him; the greenskins came with thousands at ones, and hundreds of creatures that the world did not seen for years, craweld and slitherd out of their lairs and caves. When the shadow lord saw all those bodies and minds he was able to control, he came up with an idea, an idea that would change the colony dwarves forever… They did not became his followers, no they became him, Hashut. Heavily mutated, one-minded, and allied with creatures where the world is maybe not ready for, they are known as the chaos dwarfs.
Watch out for them, the Dawi Zharr. Watch out for him, the Shadow Lord!
