I play 15mm KoW with a friend, so I guess we have our own meta. But Ive found berserkers/slayers to be a pain. Sure they more or less always die, but they will cut straight through whatever I put them up against. And as long as they are behind a unit or atleast have something else beside them that I need to deal with they will last.
But sure, maybe not the best unit. Im sure they are useful though, atleast on our battlefields.
I shall make sure to use them more often. I guess I will find the key to using them properly!
And another journey to Golden Sands Desert awaits…
Desert Bulltaurs
Barbaric nomadic tribes of bulltaurs have been roaming the endless desert for centuries long before the dawi or elves, or humans settled here. When the dawi first erected their ziggurats and palaces the bulltaurs, who were originally hostile to the settlers, were amazed by the beauty and grandeur of the architecture. However when they saw reliefs and statues of lamassu which dwarfs used frequently in their style they saw it as a divine sign. Lamassu were on one hand like the bulltaus, but had wings and were extremely handsome (by their standards). As a result bulltaurs see lamassu akin to how humans see angels: perfect divine beings that deserve adoration and worship. Unlike angels, no one saw a real lamassu, however. Even the oldest and the most learnt dwarfs can’t say where this image came from. Perhaps they are extinct or never even existed?
You’ve mastered the art of army painting. Great results! I particularly like to see the reliefs on the Bull Centaur armour stand out well in silver on dark bronze background. Your paintjob showcase all the various details on the miniatures well. And indeed, the Lamassu is a mythic creature. I’ve never seen it in my own army.
I really love your army, the dark bronze and overall earth and sepia tones are always my favorite kind of color schemes and very convincing baseing to boot! Really excellent execution all around!

Thank you! :) To be honest I enjoyed working on dwarfs much more than on Bulltaurs, so it is good that I finally finished them. Now i can focus on more dawi stuff.
I love how youv'e done them

Thank you very much! :cheers Yeas, I actually wanted that "dusty" feel to my army. :)
Oh, and I totally forgot! A most important thing that I wanted to ask an advice about. :cheers
I am slowly moving towards proper Desert Dwarf terrain. I am planning to start with a couple of dwellings, a market ans some everyday accessories. But what I need to start building my “Babylon” is a proper name for the city!
Would anybody care to give any advice or suggestion? I would love it if it sounds Assyrian or Babylonian, but I do not really want to take a real, existing one…
I love the bulltaurs, great models, brilliant painting and fantastic fluff. Those lammasu are lovely. Where are they from? Cannot wait to see them painted
Indeed it is! Hopefully I shall finish it soon enough! :)

Thanks a lot! :hat off They are from these wonderful guys. :D
Long time no updates! Let us travel to Golden Sands Desert once more! :)
Slave Desert Orcs on Boars Boars do not dwell in Golden Sands Desert, so orcs usually raid bordering lands or trade looted (from adventurers, traders or locals) valuables for them. A boar and his rider rarely part, even in slavery. Dwarfs, however, value them highly, because boars can be used both for transporting cargo (bulltaurs never do that, since consider that to be a dishonorable occupation) or used as fast cavalry in battle. Some odd dwarfs even pay to get a position of their driver. I wonder why?
"Gargoyle" Prototypes
Desert dwarfs like decorating their dwellings, monuments and palaces with bronze, golden or silver statues. Once an ambitious (and somewhat insane by local standards) engineer was having a stroll in the famous gardens of Zhurr-Morrah. Suddenly an idea came to him: why not animate the statues? Making golems is nothing new, but attaching rockets to their back is something absolutely different! As a result some desert dwarf armies use these golem/machine prototypes to screen the advancing troops. They do not survive long though, since the engineer has not yet come with the solution as to how to make them land.
Approximately 60% of the army is complete! :hat off
