Well there is nothing much to show off yet but the Conquest competition in Christchurch (New Zealand) this year is going to be 1950 pts for WFB and allow ONE special character.
I’m planning to take Throgg the Troll King (who allows Trolls as Core troops) and a fair sized horde of trolls (could get just over 40 if Throgg was the only character). Trolls suck big time but who could resist running such a big horde of them.
I have been collecting trolls for a while now, quietly confident that if I assembled enough in one place then a hole would be torn in the rules fabric of WFB and I would somehow be able to field them all (I am certain that it was my collection of 100+ ogres that lead to the Ogre Kingdom book being published).
So far I have:
16 Citadel/Marauder trolls
6 Fenryll trolls
2 Heresy trolls
Assorted troll-like ogres
Assorted cheapie $2 shop troll like figures (no sheep allowed)
So over the next 7 months I plan to paint these suckers up plus any other bits I require - no subs allowed from existing armies - whole brand new set of figures.
Throgg is a Warriors of Chaos special character. This should be an interesting thread to follow. You have stones of iron, Mr. Grumpmas, that many trolls will break any normal man…
Thanks everybody - I will post more when I get something else done
Border Reiver - thanks for the link. I don’t think my Trolls will look quite as nice as that guys - they are really well painted. I know the k-mart specials are a bit pants but they are only to bulk up numbers if I need them.
Hazkar - thanks for the heads up on Throgg - I’ll keep an eye out for that if it surafaces.
This is really interesting. I never knew what Throgg was until I read it.
Good luck with the builds.
I am curious…is that blue paint on the models or a variant of Green Stuff? Not being familliar with Trolls, I haven’t a clue what the models look like.
As for the K-mart Warriors, I like the Boar Guy. You should convert one into the Boar Boys found in the Duke Nukem games. Don’t forget that they belong to the L.A.R.D.

Tarrakk Blackhand
It's just the GW ice blue paint on a white undercoat. I plan to do the whole army in a light blue 'polar' theme, with snow on the bases.
The models themselves are not typical GW trolls - the middle one is an old GW figure and the other two are non-GW minis.
