[Archive] the Warh Armyblog (picture heavy)

Bassman:

Awesome! The hellcannon with a real slate fo stone is so cool and heavy

And good pictures as well. An too many times underestimated factor to appreciate a very good painted (and converted) army like yours.

Curious to see progresses with the FW stuff!

ryanamandaanna:

Holy cow! What a great collection and paint job! :cheers

vulcanologist:

Wow! Some very very nice stuff there!

Rolemodeld:

very nice paint job, im a beginning painter and was what techniques you used on the hobbos.

warh:

thanks everyone

Rolemodeld: I think I just basecoated, washed (ogre flesh I think) and highlighted, the brown cloth actually dont look highlighted at all.

was a long time since I painted those so I really dont remember the exact technique.

Hey everybody!

I got the inspiration back for chaos dwarfs so i decided to start ā€œproject converted daemonsmith WF styleā€. I will cover all the steps with photo’s and I’m also converting a (and hopefully more) Bullcentaur from the chaos knights set.

I would be grateful if I could get some help with what Item’s I should go for on them, should I go for a Shield of Ptolos on the daemonsmith against ranged attacks as he will be standing next to the warmachines? and what unit size and what weapons should I go for on the bullcentaurs?

anyway here’s the pictures :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m trying out a new camera, so that’s why the pictures may be a bit bad.

warh:

another update!

He will get more beard, don’t worry.

Also cut the horse up to make it more beefy.

tell me what you think!

thanks

ryanamandaanna:

wow! you’re quite the sculptor! :cheers

gIL^:

Ohgh my you should get into casting.

tjub:

Looks great!

This message was automatically appended because it was too short.

frostbit3:

with widening the body are you going to have issues fitting the torso? or what are you going to use? I mocked up something similar using the knight torso awhile back, and it was a reasonable fit.

Ravenswood:

Nice Deamonsmith! You inspired me to convert my own:)

vulcanologist:

Promising stuff! Looking forward to seeing your take on the bull centaurs!

Da Crusha:

Love the deamonsmith! looks very cool.

Borador:

Very good looking, as always. Awesome deamonsmith, I like the fact that even though FW set a standard for those chaps, you still managed to come up with something original which is looking just as good.

Kudos mate, have a slave!

warh:

Thanks everyone!

gIL^: I have been thinking about that for a while, but I would need someone else to cast and sell for me as it’s a bit to much for me.

frostbit3: I’m thinking about sculpting the torso and maybe use the knight arms.

Borador: Thanks for the slave, I will put it in good use.

A little update:

a little bit of work on the hat, note that it’s far from finnished.

his weapon

hooves

frostbit3:

if you have the bits laying around to mock it up; to me, the knight torso, with marauder arms looks pretty solid for the centaur.

Borador:

Updates look good!

You’re welcome, I’m sure the slave will be of service.

Sculpting the BC body sounds good! Certainly regarding your skill haha.

Thanks!

Just a little update.

I still need some help with what weapon upgrade I should go for on the bullcentaurs.
