Speedy, I think you're totally missing the point. Ghost is interested in selling to someone who will use it and not resell it for their profit. Selling to theessexgirl and others like them just means that that piece will stay in Ebay limbo until some poor sap spends the extra cash unnecessarily. I think its nice for someone to have principles these days.

Ebay will go on an people will buy and sell Chaos Dwarfs as they please. All Ghost did was alienate a buyer. What you guys are extolling as principles is just really pretentiousness. If the sexy girl resold the items who cares. High prices do not garrentee a buy. You are not saving anyone by doing crap like this.
The only thing this did is make Ghost look silly. Honestly, wargammers get a bad enough rap as it is. Ghost gave this person quality stand up comedy to make fun of him. I have seen this sort of scenecs in movies like the 40 yr old virgin.

I am a collector of Citadel miniature and I have been for over 14 years.
I very really sell models may be 60 over the last 10 years as I prefer to swap them to help my collection and like wise to the other party.
I offer on CDO and had know takers so I put it on ebay for .99p and I was happy to see it go for that price as the model is useless to me I all ready have one and I will never field two at the same time.
I did want to see it go to a store who the on sell it for 17+ quid and it my proactive who I stop from buying my things. I also have a second army worth of metal epic 'nid that all stared at .99p when you compare the price of them to one of the bigger epic stores I couldn't believe the price difference.
And as for the part about it being stand up comedy he/she was the one who had the retard remark, and in that showed full well that they know why some one would do that.
Id like to thank Willmark and Pyro Stick I know they as collectors can apreciat why I did this

Supply and demand drive the pricing of products. The lady is not going to affect pricing of chaos dwarf items. She does not have a monopoly on chaos dwarfs nor will have one. The essexgirl will never drive the pricing of chaos dwarf items.
If you list an item to sell on ebay then randomly censure people from buying them because of a self righteous attitude that in doing this you are somehow doing gamers a favor, all you a being is a turd. You can try to cast it in a different light but I'm calling it what it is.

There is something noble about standing by your principles even if it disadvantages you. No one would really care that much about theessexgirl if she only made a fair profit. Instead “she” takes the models out of gamers hands and stores them away until someone pays her ridiculous prices. She was even selling models as “out of production” when they were still available from GW, and for 3 times the price, and she knew it. People believed her and she made money from their ignorance. I expect she may have been a gamer at some point, but if she was then it was a power gamer, using the excuse that it was in the rules and therefore okay to do.
Anyone else noticed that her prices have dropped recently? They are not quite the absurd amounts she was selling for a couple of years ago. Still stupidly high though.
I agreewith the remarks getting too derogatory and I apologize for my part in that. It is not my intent to flame anyone. I’m just pointing out a different perspective and people often forget that we all don’t view problems the same way. As far as pricing goes, i am more inclined to blame corporate powersw, ie GW than an individual for price raising.

I intentional changed her name in attempt to try and point out how silly I found ghost’s point. Levity can sometimes be an effective way to makle a point. Unfortunately, many of the people playing warhammer take little things much too seriously, which is part of the problem IMO. If someone gets worked up over small insignificant things, they will throw full blown tantrums when actual problems arise.
Disregarding an oppossing point of view is such a problem. Sadly gaming in the last several years have degraded with these attitudes. No one lies a rules nazi. Yet many games nowadays end stupid pointless arguments. Where is the fun?
Changes need to start with attitudes. People should be able to buy and sell miniatures as they please and the hobby should be about fun. I don’t know how many of your guys are aware of this but even at a club level no gaming group or tourney will even play chaos dwarfs in my surrounding area because they are not official and are supposedly “broken”.

I completely see ghosts point. regularly i give old mini’s and model kits away for next to nothing as long as i know who they are going to is going to are going to get some use out of them, and not just stick them on ebay for some quick cash.
While I support the idea of tryuing to make sure that your models go to a good home, sometimes other things take priority… at the moment, I am trying to get rid of my Limited Editions, and would much rather sell or trade them here, or at dogsofwaronline, or warseer, to another gamer or collector, however, I do need rid of them, and eBay will b their destination next week if they’re still here. And I will sell to the highest bidder as the ££££ are needed…
Theessexgirl has been quored as saying that she buys as many models on ebay as possible to sell them at a higher price to put her kid through university.
I can see why Ghost doesn’t want to sell to her: he wants to avoid people being charged ridiculous amounts. speedygogo, if you want it in a business perspective, he wants the profit himself: why let someone else get an extra margin that you could get yourself?
I can also see what speedygogo is implying: her bids will raise the proce and get you more money.
