When I was at Basic, there was a day we were doing a teamwork course of sorts.
On one part there’s two poles and you need to bridge (though you don’t have enough planks to simply have it go all the way across
I was the first one the sent over, and I was told to jump. I decided not to argue and jumped. I face planted right into the wooden planks outlining the sand put.
I get up and brush myself off. A bunch of people, including the Drill Sarge are running over to me. I look at one of the guys in my platoon, as I realize I’m bleeding, and ask in a casual every day tone “Is it bad?”. At this point a bunch of people, including DSG Dordal start laughing. Apparently there was blood all over my face, and I was just being casual.
It was a funny moment.
