It is Imperial Calendar year 2304. During the previous year (ICY 2303-Tides of War 2008), the massive armies of Chaos and Darkness decended upon the Old World to raid and pillage and ultimately set the ground work for the building of a Chaos gate in the Old World. After a year of battle the Hordes of Chaos emerged victorious and the stage has been set for the building of Chaos gates on the fringes of the Old World.

Tides of War 2009 kicks off in the spring of 2304 as the Alliance of Men, Elves, Dwarves, Lizardmen and Ogres rally to stop the building of the Chaos gates in the Old World. Your exploits as a general will effect the overall result of the story.

Lead your 2250 point army to victory in this 5 game tournament and also enjoy the campaign aspect as everybodies games will impact the overall campaign during the tournament. This tournament structure idea is borrowed from the Austrailian “Fortunes of War” Tournament.

Chose to lead an army from the Alliance of the Empire including the following armies: Empire, Dwarves, High Elves, Wood Elves, Lizardmen, and Bretonnians or the Hordes of Chaos made up of the following armies: Chaos Mortals, Chaos Daemons, Chaos Beastmen, Orcs and Goblins, Dark Elves, Skaven, Chaos Dwarves, and Vampire Counts.

The Ogre Kingdoms, Tomb Kings, and Dogs of War can play on either side of the war depending on how many armies are on each side.

During the tournament you will only play opponents from the faction opposite of yours. It will be an individual effort and group effort.

Tournament Details will share some of the specifics of the tournament.

After regular registrations closes the you will be able to see your allies armies and your foes armies on the Alliance and Horde Forces links.

Look at Registration to learn how to get signed up for this one of a kind warhammer event.

4. Come have a great time with great people.

In the immortal words of an avid gamer by the name of Paul Fehring, "Just trust me!"
