This is my second phoenix.  My first is a frostheart, but I wanted to do something different with this one.  I saw an idea to paint them as in transition from fiery to frosty.  This my first take at it, and I’m ok with the progress thus far.  I’m still stuck on how to paint the head and what to do with the base.  I also need to go back in and work on the transition from blue to red. Just thought I’d share.

Very nice colors, and very nice pain job. But as you mention, the blue and the red needs more blending.

The idea is great - but it’s gonna be tough to get just right. Perhaps involve the base of the miniature also. Så that the front of the base i frozen and the back is scorched.
