Vogon:

The Christmas Jigsaw picture is a Warhammer Forge miniature this year

Christmas Jigsaw Part 1

As is traditional at this time of year, we like to tease you with a sneak preview of one of our 2012 releases. Rather than simply showing you a cool model straight away though, we prefer to leave you guessing for a while at what it might be. See part 1 of our Christmas jigsaw below. What could it be?

Any thoughts?

With three fingers I think it might be a Fimir, they are supposedly featuring in the next book.

Cheers

Time of Madness:

Not sure if it would be a fimir, but whatever it is will most likely be on the Monster Arcana book.

Time of Madness

GRNDL:

Looks vaguely lizardman to me. Clawed feet, gold embellishment on the weapon, digitigrade legs. The armour on the legs seem to be sewn together, which isn’t quite lizardmen, so that casts it back into limbo.

Parish:

it looks like a "birdish thing " to me .

FlandersClaret:

Fimir, without a doubt! They were in an old Warhammer/Hero Quest game I think.

macbeth:

I’d say Fimir too…

Galladorn:

I agree with the Fimir. looks like a 25mm base, and the hands and feet match these:

Yes, many of us fondly remember them. They were indeed HeroQuest, which is set in a world related to the Old World part of the Warhammer Fantasy world.

Thommy H:

Fun fact: the suggested name for the Barbarian character in the rulebook is Sigmar.

Ishkur Cinderhat:

…and the villain of the game was Morcar who was in later fluff known as the first Everchosen of Chaos.

I don’t think this is a 25mm base - and if it’s a Fimir it’s definitely going to be on a 40mm base much like the models of old. ^^

Borador:

Fimir-ish I hope.

cornixt:

I’d say it was a Fimir, too.

Hashut’s Blessing:

Hmmm, not sure anyone thinks it’ll be a fimir.

The interesting part is fimir fluff indicates they are human sized. GW sculptors got it wrong when they created the 40mm based fimir. They should have been on the same scale as the heroquest models.

This model represents the size they "should" have been.

Zuh-Khinie:

That’s either a 25mm or a cavalry base, in which case it could also be a Zoat… they also had 4 fingers and clawedlike feet, and preffered using clubs, while fimir used axes mainly.
If it’s a Zoat though, it’ll be weirdly positioned on it’s base

Couldn’t it also just be something lizardmen related?

Either way, I’ll be happy with either one of them (Zoats or Fimir)

Vogon:

It’s a Fimir!

Last piece of the jigsaw came today (sorry I missed posting the last one)
