Well, it has now been 2 months, 20 days since i started my year abroad in the Universite d’Orleans…and therefore just as long since i last cut/sliced/glued/crushed/scraped/bruised and painted my fingers doing that hobby which we all enjoy.
No real news other than on a hitchhike across Europe i managed to stumble (accidentally…maybe an omen from Hashut) upon both GW Amsterdam and Brussels. Amsterdam has a great looking LOTR wall in the window.
Its a struggle but the internet is sustaining my warhammer addiction…much like second-hand smoke to an ex-smoker.
you should always have a unit of plastic soldiers to work on… whether it be conversions, painting, trimming, etc… even the busiest student needs an hour or two break a week from their studies to keep them from going insane.
Ha. Thanks for the support Kera but i’ll let you know when i’m really climbing the walls before a WarhammerAid pack needs to be sent.
Over the worst of it now as i’m coming back on the 20th via the chunnel for xmas. Even still, 2weeks out of nine months with the hobby (oh… and of course friends and family :p) does not a happy boy al-hashut make so hopefully as i’ll be leaving most of my stuff in my dorm i’ll bring a ration of plastic and green stuff to keep me going from january til june.
Unfortunately, there are reminders from Hashut everywhere, as seen here in the Louvre:
al-hashut. Now those are inspiring! See your education is not entirely wasted
Thanks for the pics though! Did they have any lit on that stuff? Might have to check out their website, was wondering where exactly it came from…and it gave me an idea for something…
I work all over the country-side doing construction and i often only come home once a month.
I’ve got a little wooden box i thrown in my bag that holds a couple of models, paints and a few other bits and pieces that i can work on while i’m out and about.
It definetly helps stave off the withdrawal symptons
