I’m putting together a Legion Of Azgorh list for Warmaster- I am up to developing spells right now, one will certainly be based on Ash Storm so that any units designated as having Flaming attacks cause +1 hit on the cursed unit.
Here is the PDF, please let me know if other things such as the Iron Train and Armoured Carriages make sense
Talked about your list with a guy on the French Warmaster forum, here are our thoughts:
- the army seems too strong. Solid infantry (as it should be), with good cavalry, a huge amount of artillery and monsters with an effective chain of command. No weakness. Even magic, if not terrific, is pretty easy to cast.
- Too many special rules:
- Flaming attacks (if respectful of the fluff) is not really useful. Machines could just ignore defense bonus or inflict a -1 armour save for example.
- Armoured carriage. Ok it is useless in warhammer, and it could be nice in Warmaster, but the troop transport option will lead to strange and complicated situations, and it does not exist in the warhammer army list, so why ? The idea is fun, but in fact, i’m not sure.
Maybe i need to restrict troops more. And put up destroyer price. Good points on ideas for ‘flaming’ and would change ash storm to have another effect most likely.
The troop transport is a chaos dwarf player wishlist item it is ok to put something like that in i think, some army lists are totally invented, ill have to try it out and think of exceptions (like they should not be driven back by shooting).

I totally understand your point, and fluffy speaking i don't find it shocking. It is easy to imagine the legion travelling with artillery in a train and infantery in an other.
Yet, IMHO it is a source of complications during the games, and overpowerness. Since it even does not exist in the tamurkhan army list, i think it will be rather difficult to make people accept it in regular games.
I think the spells should be harder to cast (Sorcerer Prophet are not better wizards than tzeentch followers, to say the least) point costs should be higher, and the chain of command should be worse. Even if dwarfs are reliable troops, an evil army is a good place to be betrayed by people you thought were covering your back.
CHANGED- Deathshrieker removed due to redundant (why have a worse stone thrower), Dreadquake notes reference Skull Chukka (rules were the same!), artillery rules cleaned up.
