Hehe I like that.
They need to go off for molding and casting, I dont know anything how long that will take or prices yet.

Bloodbeard:
That looks awesome. Cool stuff.
fattdex:
The test casts are in! It looks like it’s a good’un, I’ll in this one for photography, and assemble some more for painting this weekend. If all goes well, Eureka should be able to produce some next week, and it cn go up for sale some time after that. I’ll post painted results up here when I’m done, and post it in the news section when it’s released.
The only thing that may change is the mortar carriage wheels may change to be the same as the wheels from the train, as the detail on them looks a bit cooler. We’ll see how it paints up soon.
Abecedar:
I agree the mortars wheels do seem to lack as much clarity in detail. Is truly beautiful though
tjub:
Feel like I’ll need one of these, just don’t know what for yet…
Bloodbeard:
That has turned out exceptionally well. Cool little miniature man!
Thommy H:
Oh wow - I hadn’t seen this thread before now but these are fantastic!
Abecedar:
Feel like I'll need one of these, just don't know what for yet... :)Exactly. maybe as statues outside the Daemonsmiths Hall. I bought Man O War Tauri for that reason once

I have begun painting, looking good! The rear wheels turned out fine with inking, but they should be replaced with the wheels from the train in production.
Admiral:
Very cool! An extended CD Warmaster range, complete with big hats, Infernal Guards and Hobgoblins, would be tempting…
I hope you’ll not have a limited edition run or anything like that, because I neither need nor should buy one soon, but I’ll take one later on when money better allows it.
fattdex:
I may have to try my hand at some wire and putty hobgobs but big hats are beyond my power level :-p
They will be general release items in the web store when released.
fattdex:
I have nearly finished the troop carriage, I’m advised it will work best as a resin drop on bit to the existing chassis, so I’ll send off for prints as soon as bank balance allows!
ill suggest that carriages are sold in a set of three, and the engine is sold in a set with mortar and lava cannon (I still have to build that one)
Satan:
That is awesome!

Completely awesome! It’s a pity even Forgeworld have given up on Specialist Games, because otherwise they could’ve hired you.
The troop carriages could have been lower to not tower so much above the Iron Daemon, especially since there’ll be Chaos Dwarfs inside of them, but that doesn’t stop them from looking great.
fattdex:
Cheers guys,
The window heights were scaled so that when it was going to be a hollow model, eureka blunderbuss models (or regular chaos dwarf) could be posed at the window. The door is about dwarf high- but i retained the arched roof because it kind of reminds me of battle wagon version of a wild-west era wagon, as well as a train car.
It is a bit chunky, but I do like my chunky warmaster display pieces (empire war altar etc).
Just be careful picking them up!
Yodrin:
Awesome!!!

I never thought a Warmaster stand of infantry would fit inside it. I'd very much like some photos of your own train in the future, with blunderbuss troops at the windows. ;)

fattdex:
I may just have to print some with a hollow interior for my personal collection (but it’s more practical to resin cast it one-piece)
Bitterman:
That’s looking absolutely incredible.
Warmaster is exactly the scale that suits this sort of thing. Has anyone, ever, in the history of the Warhammer LoA list, actually hooked up war machines to the train carriage and towed them around for a while, instead of… y’know… firing them? I very much doubt it. The points, the time scale, the ground scale, and the fact the models are facing the wrong way makes it prohibitive. In Warmaster all of that could be just a normal part of gameplay, given a sufficiently large battle. Brilliant.
(Also, Warmaster is a beautiful, elegant game and one of the best GW ever produced).

^ He gets it
