Bloodbeard:
The guys I usually play Warhammer with and I have talked about entering a sci-fi style skirmish game. We not really into 40k in it’s current form (a direction whfb seems to be taking too).
A skirmish game would be nice to try out. It’s easy to get a team/warband/squad together, relatively cheap and there are lots of cools sci-fi miniatures out there.
But none of us has any real experience (besides a little necromunda way back in the day). So we are looking for suggestions, opinions and advice.
We want something relatively easy to start, fast games and it would be very nice with an option for campaigning (some kind of XP system).
Games I know
Necromunda: Never played it myself. Perhaps there are some good community updates for this old game? Knowing Mordheim, this might be on the complex side of things.
Infinity: I just saw a kickstarter. Don’t now the game, universe, rules at all. But there are some cool miniatures on their website.
Deadzone: Mantic makes some quality products, simple systems and cheap miniatures. But there are only 6 factions, and I can’t figure out which of the books to get in order to get the needed team rules.
Any other sci-fi skirmish games I should know off? Check out?
Mostly we want to build some cool, destroyed city terrain! It’s easy and fast to do.
Please share yoru thoughts.
