I’m playing in a tournament in April that allows scrolls of binding (from Storm of Magic and Monstrous Arcanum) to be taken from your special points allowance. No restrictions, other than the regular ones for scrolls (i.e. max 2 of the same type, bound characters can’t join units etc etc).
Obviously this opens the door to a whole plethora of options for complete monster mash lists. At the same time, I don’t want my army to lose its chaos dwarf feel, so I will use them sparingly. My thinking is just to use this allowance to plug one of our most gaping holes - our woeful chaff options (Khan being awfully pricy for what you can get out of him, and not even providing an extra drop).
So I might just add two sabretusks (as good as a Khan, 1/3 the price) and some harpies for flying warmachine hunters. I’d also consider an unridden great taurus or lamasu, replacing one of my war machines, but dunno if I wanna buy the model especially.
Am I missing any hidden gems? What would you guys take to the tourney?
Don’t know all them monsters there is. But the K’daii Destroyer would be my choice if I was playing any other army.
What does our CD force really lack? Some nice flying stuff. Great for eating warmachines and supporting our k’daii with easy flank of rear attacks. Find something with wings.
2x K’daii Destroyers with the flying upgrades. An additional Destroyer in the usual Rare slot.
Seriously though, 2x Sabretusks and some Harpies is probably the way to go. I can’t remember if Razorgors are available or not, but if they are they’re also **** fine pieces of chaff, especially as they can beat up most any opposing chaff without breaking a sweat.

Yes, Razorgors are in, they are as cheap as mud and they can be used for suicidal attacks against bunkered enemy heroes. I saw two Razorgors slamming themselves in an infantry unit to kill a Lord Wizard. They died in the process, but boy was it worth it!
The carmine Dragon is filth and the pimped out Kdaii Destroyer is tops but to really scare the beejeebies out of your opponent, you put the toad dragon done on the table. Run it down the flank and across his line. Yes if he has a massive monster it will be a tarpit but it will demolish infantry. The hardest part is finding a model to use as proxy unless you have the £129 for the FW one.
