Yodrin:

So, I will start a p.blog here pretty soon. Most of my models only needs the finishing touch, and then I am ready to go:)

Most of my models comes from FW, but I have ordered some from here and there.

My army contains:

- Drazhoat on Bale Taurus

- Destroyer

- 60 IG w/ HW & S

- 3 IG command

- 9 Fireborns

- 12 BC

- 2 Magma cannons

- 2 Death Shrieker Rockets

- 1 Iron Demon

- BSB from Scibor (gonna swap him later cause he is to dwarfy)

- Ataman from Scibor

- Dwarf Rune Master from Avatars

- Dwarf Lord of War from Avatars

- 2 Khans from Gamzone

- 45 Hobbos

- 2 Taur’ruks

- 1 Hellcannon

- 1 Prophet on "disc"

Also used Scibors bases

Next on my to order list, is blunderbusses from scibor, Taur’ruk from FW, Hellcanon and some IG GW when I find any god ones.

I spent a lot of time trying to find the right scheme. I ofc looked here, google, youtube, ebay, warseer and so on. I mixed up some, and I think it came out tabletop fine :slight_smile:

Going on a 10 day work trip now, so it will be a god 14 days before any pics is up.

So… Here is my Destroyer.

I was unsure wether to leave the wings off or go for the wings…

I decided to paint them up and glue them on. The wings wasn’t finished in time for the Big Hat, so they came on later. TBH I like the wings on :slight_smile:

I tried black background at first, but decided to go back to white. I am not sure if that worked out better…

I added one “old” picture as well before the wings came on.

My 30 first IG with com is almost done, just some highlight on the base left. Should have some pic up in a week…I hope:)

What colours did you use for the skin tone and fur. I may just have to steal the recipe for my own K’Daai (whenever I get around to it)

Looking great so far, nice and exact painting. Personally I would prefer the metal a little more weathered.

Thanks for that, I also meant the skintone for the beast its self. I'm guessing black basecote with red gore highlighting up to a yellow of some sort?

1.Umber red, 2. Khorne red, 3. Evil Sunz Scarlet, 4. Evil Sunz Scarlet with a mix of Yriel Yellow

Abecedar:

the destroyer’s armour would look much better with some shading or washes. No advice on exactly what as that could lead to a minor disaster (does that count as a legal disclaimer).  The wolf riders are great but the shading on the wolf pelts and goblins armour looks too similar as a colour for me.

Still have 30 IG to go, and 2 commands. Will take a photo of all when they are done :slight_smile:

Boy, you are flying on this blog Yodrin! :slight_smile:

I really, really like your highlighting. The dwarf skin looks sinewy (its a word I am sure) and tough, the blazing weapons look amazing. I think its good that you dare to take the highlights on certain parts of the models all the way up to the extreme. That will help the models getting some attention and look great in a dimly lit sports hall (the most common venue for grand battles of fantasy armies)
