Hello,
Besides being a warhammer fan and gamer I am also an avid model railroader. As a result I’ve developed a lot of terrain skills over the years: rock carving, tree making, water features and the like. Any recommendations on making interchangeable terrain tiles? I had three thoughts and was interested in any feedback:
- Use 2x2 foot extruded pink foam as a base then wooden dowels to make sure they align and prevent movement during game play. Though alignments of different tiles could be tricky when changing.
- A large wood base with sides. This is least preferred as I don’t have much storage space. I live in a 1930s house.
- Similar to the above but have the base wood board split into two halves, then attach together with a latch prior to adding the tiles. Seems like over engineering (according to my 10 year old chief advisor).
My biggest concern is preventing the tiles from shifting during a battle.
Thank you.
