There are a few guys in my local club who are fairly sure that AOS will be getting a Chaos Dwarves faction of sorts (like Forges of Archaon or something) next year or sometime after the year of the Index. Anyone else think this? I’m getting ready to base up my Bull Centaurs, and am wondering if I should magnetize their rocky plinths to be versatile from rectangle trays to oval bases. Wouldn’t be too much extra work but…should I also magnetize my Infernal Guard and Lammasu? I’m not certain that all the unit types would transfer over even if it did happen (though it would be AWESOME if we got Azgorh back, in plastic). IGuess I could also use the Bull Centaurs as Juggernauts too in a Khorne army.

Tbh I would be a little disappointed if chaos dwarfs for AoS would not reinvent the line. I mean don’t get me wrong, “just” getting a new plastic release of the legion of Azgorh would be one of the best days ever, but it would be a missed chance for something new. Like Kharadron, for example.

Hmmm, yes, I must agree. It’s a great opportunity for a unique faction doing very interesting things. They could go hard into new-wave Mesopotamian details too, as they did with Meso-American stylings on the Seraphon. Choesive aesthetics is one of GW’s strongpoints I’d say.

Meanwhile I really like the Kharadron Engineers but dislike their airships and would prefer gyros. It’s a bit of a monkey’s paw situation; they may get rebooted, but we may and up missing some iconic models.
