Chaos Dwarfs doing some work

Saw we placed 10th in this tournament report on Woehammer:

Top Three Old World Lists for the Richmond Open (2,000pts) - Woehammer

And at least 1 other Chorf player there too. Got my Infernal Guard in the works…hopefully within a month I can FINALLY get a game in. I’ve got a good sized local club who’s getting more into TOW and I’ll be the only follower of Hashut. So I gotta represent :cd1991gif:

The list in question was posted earlier:

Apparently a large unit of blunderers with the razor standard was teleported around the map to great effect, I assume deleting unit after unit with like 90 s3 ap1 ab2* re-roll 1’s to wound shots. It would appear that’s one of our meta options.

Looking forward to seeing how you do in your local games :fist:

Mhmmm, do we know how exactly that went down? Most important question: Does a unit count as moved when teleported by the Mystical Pathways (or any conveyance spell for that matter)? I would argue yes. Cause then Volley Fire isn’t an option and it’s a -1 to hit, so in order to get that re-roll 1s you would need a unit at least 20 models wide and you’re only hitting on 5s at best. IDK.

Oh and fwiw Blunderbuss with Razor Standard is S3 AP-1 AB2

It litterally doesnt tho. No mention of moved is says placed

It says “cannot move AGAIN” and it can only be cast if the target hasn’t already moved. So where does that “again” come from? I’d say the “placed” simply means that you don’t have to follow movement rules like wheeling etc.

Also, not couting as moved would have massive implications for war machines too, I’m having a hard time believing you could fire them after replacing.

I would argue no as it doesn’t say "it counts as beening moved.
Since it has volleyfire it only needs to be 15 wide as 7-8, guns in the second rank can fire.
Also can move artillery with the train without them counting as being moved.

He got a placing in a tournament and pathways is the only spell worth taking in that lore I’d say it is how he ran it but cannot claim for certain as i was not there.

Omg wtf, he really went full ape on the stone mantles :see_no_evil:

What’s that, T9? Immune to s3, dragons wound you on 6+… Super gimmicky, but I suspect gimmicks and favourable matchups win tournaments, rather than well balanced lists.

Yeah I know, but that’s

  • a paid upgrade
  • only available to one army
  • more situational (Iron Daemon still needs to follow movement rules etc. With the spell it’s a true teleport)

Ah well, I am sure this will be addressed in the next FAQ.

One can take shields AND blunderbusses?!

Oh my, yes. You’d be silly not too, tbh.

Wow, that seems weird but I guess if they’re not 2-handed I’ll have to dig up a bunch of tiny old shields!

You can even give a unit of Fireglaives or Great Weapons shields and decide to use HW&S if it’s the better choice for a particular combat. But yes, for Blunderbusses it’s a no-brainer.
