Thanks!
I now have a Taur’ruk to paint. I will try to use some heat effects on him as well. Still Taurus is hard to match in simplicity of the scheme.
Thanks!

Though I really dislike the AoS chaos dwarfs, your bull is truly amazing. Beautiful. Good choice that you’ve added the grey smoke to the green, it really helped the overall look of the model. The previous green smoke had something odd to itself.
Thanks!
I was not excited about the new range either. I się Mantic abyssal dwarfs models. It took some time to realize I can paint it like this.
I even ordered Infernal Cohort to convert them into Ironsworn. They fit Mantic models’ wcale very well.
Previous green was to agressive. To bright. Good few people told me IT looks wierd. I have to maska the bull when I airbrushed IT but it came out great. Very gentle.
Decided they need bigger weapons. I’ll leave 1-2 with hand axes/hammers but others will have weapons that looks like 2-handed tools. Re-built one to carry a hammer in 2 hands.
BTW I need a good drill. What I use is just terrible.
I’ve used a small Electric Drill for 15 years since I got tired of using miniature hand drills. It saves a lot of time and is more often than not more accurate. You just need to adjust the speed a bit as you go, don’t put “the pedal to the metal” all the time. The biggest problem is finding one that fits 1-1,5 mm Drill bits. ![]()

I second that motion - All in favor, say AYE… ![]()
I have 2 Bull centaurs left to paint. As Taur’ruk. My new list od almost painted!
Really like these conversions ! Great hobbying
Seriously… GW did chaos dwarfs with spear or swords?
Had too…
Think of it as a small price to pay to have Harridans mixed in now with regular troops… ![]()
Today’s game vs Empire. We were testing lists for a tournament we start in August.
I am happy with my list. I still have to figure out how to fly Black Orcs but Chorf alpha strike is fun.
Taur’ruk. I painted regular renders red. Hero Has Brown skin.
I have already painted the base but I wait for varnish to dry…
Very nice looking skin, though I like smooth transitions on the back of centaurs between the upper part’s skin and the other skin color (fur?) of the lower part, above the belt - makes it look more natural rather than two creatures cut and glued together.
I did that with other centaurs. I could darken the skin down into browns but I would loose some crispiness. This is always a hard choice… I try it and see if this is a good choice. Works better with red as skin has a lot of red in it. I did try with blends and spota/dots to make transition.
We can just assume the transition happens under the belt ![]()
