Have you guys played around with chatgpt to come up with new stuff?
Pretty fun
When you take your version and get it to refine it for 4th Ed. Big Hats, you get these: I kinda like it, as initial sketches…
Been having a further play around.
It’s really incredible to use this for concept art generation.
It’s given me a whole load of ideas, but they are sufficiently detailed it would have to be large scale models more like 10cm if I were to sculpt them
Not just chaos dwarfs but dwarfs as well.
Just as an example
It’s good to help you organize ideas and surprisingly useful at helping to draw concept art that you can tweak. I think seeing an idea, even if it’s a mock up, is good. Having it sculpt it for you though is a no-no IMHO. I want to support real artists in the long run. I guess it’s like anything though, if you see it as a tool, that’s ok. If you see it as the final solution and skip the artist’s time in on a piece, you’re loosing out imho.
I see the process as important as the finished piece…
Out of curiosity, is there such a thing as turning images into 3D printing files?
Yes, plenty. Google “image to 3d model” and you’ll find many apps.
Very cool concepts, Grim!
I’ve used Gemini to create concept art for some of my other projects and have found it to be quite a useful tool.
I re-imagined artwork sketches that I did previously as models. It’s funny to turn models into art then back into models again
For anyone not familiar with something I did 15+ years ago ![]()
. The berserker lore I wrote was essentially chaos dwarfs who couldn’t be mutated by flesh, but were undone by the metal they worked. Like an apprentice who worked on binding daemons and it all goes horribly wrong.
They emerge in and out of the warp etc in a constant state of rage until they die.
And the original artwork
I’ve been using it to find color schemes and then trying them. It didn’t look as good, but it was a fun experiment.
