Dwarves of Zarakh member sculpted range

Hi all, making progress with my bighats! I’m going for a a bighat style somewhere between classic and modern realistic, hopefully there’s a niche there. These models are almost ready, I just need to do some test prints. If anyone has a resin printer and could help me out there I’d appreciate any help! Any feedback on anything would be great to hear

I’ve got a resin printer and would be more than happy to do a test print of them.

Many thanks!

So subbed! Those are swee-eet!! Just don’t make those pointy bits TOO pointy. I got a couple of resin injections from mine because I wasn’t careful. Go right through nitril gloves, they do.

Oh wow, thanks! I love your miniatures, and fabelzels, I hope you dont mind me joining in a little. That’s great advice, currently all my pointy bits are super sharp, I’ll add some bevels!

Hi! I’ve scuplted an deaemon of iron for my evil dwarves range! Very interested to know what people think and any feedback. If there’s any changes you think would improve it that would be good to know before I finalise the stls before uploading for people. Thanks!

I truly love the flat slab front of the thing but I can’t tell if there’s clearance under the beard to deal with terrain.

Thanks, yes there’s a bit of clearance but probably not enough to be practical! I was thinking that the lower bits of the beard could fold backwards. I’ll have a think about what could be done on the model on this front.

If the beard angled forward you could cheat it like a locomotive cow catcher, or just treat it as silly chorf arrogance

Looks great! You could have the beard/lower hair linked by chains like some kind of mail skirt. I think more teeth in the mouth would look better and more details in the face. Its the focal point of the model. Great job

Thanks, yes I like both ideas, cow catcher or chains. I was thinking that I could just chalk it up to chorf arrogance with it just bulldozing anything in its way! I’m just printing one off at the moment so will see what it looks like, I think there may be more clearance than what it looks like in those images so maybe only minor adjustments required. Thanks for the feedback on the face and teeth, will give that some thought that sounds good, I may do a few fronts eventually for some different styles

There is no obvious steam cannonade, or is that what the holes in the mouth represent?

I would say I think you should have the wheels separate for printing.

Oh yes!! Good chaotic wheels are hard to find.

It’s true, my original idea was to have the cannons come out the mouth but I just couldnt get it to look good in the way I imagined. So I compromised with the holes, but perhaps it will look different in printed form so I’ll try some different cannons in my printed version

Yes they will be!
