There’s no fluff writing aspect of this competition as it is focused on the painting. References to “fancy backgrounds” being permissible refer to images, backdrops, diorama scenes behind the model(s) that are the focal point of the entry. This is the same as prior Golden Hats

Folks that want to submit a name with a character may do so if they wish, but it is not mandatory nor the focus of the voting. I won’t specifically state a character limit for text but try to be reasonable with your transferric venti-lamassu optimus bull-tron riding arch mega daemonsmithor primus wielding spik-ed spetum of ultimate pokitude…

As questions have arisen on the above subject.

The character name submitted (if you choose to) along with your entry should just be clearly identified in text in the PM you send to the Golden Hat account.

I’ll be formatting the voting thread similar to the below. That way the focus is still on the model itself. There is no need to use one of your valuable 4 image slots to add text. Please try to keep the focus of the images on the painting.
