This is what i love about the CDO, the simple acknowledgement that a contest like this is for the benefit of the community. The rules are deliberately as expansive as possible to encourage creativity and the deadlines flexible so as many people as possible can enter.

You’ll have to fight me for it

I wasn’t going to enter, but inspiration struck this afternoon and I’ve knocked something up. Best of luck folks

My entry is in.

Mind you I am a bit worried by all this competition for last place. Traditionally in painting competitions I come last. I think there is an old rule or charter somewhere that makes that clear. Or maybe it is just the photos?

I don’t think you should judge your skill on this.

A friend of mine on Lustria Online told me the competition is pretty fierce on this website. I’ve only seen the last competition, but I was pretty impressed on the quality of the painting.

I know mine isn’t going to win the contest, I’m just happy to have FINALLY painted something that I’m not embarrased about other people seeing!

Uther. Deliberately taking poor photos of your entry to secure last place is frowned upon.

Lasp place or bust! That’s always my aim when entering tournaments.

Been picking berries all day. I’ll dive into entries tomorrow. Hope to have it up around lunch.

No wonder you guys felt the need to raid us in the dark ages. Are times that tough Matte? Hahah

Oh yeah! And that also solved a made-up deficit in precious metals and thralls. Thanks for your contribution to the betterment of the Norse, dear raid victim.

Hehe, funny thing is that people all my life, from about age 9, has remarked that I live as if poor and expecting starvation. Not just frugally, but miserly, many describe it. I might have to compile a tightwad’s tips later on, for shock and awe effect. Scrooge McDuck is an inspiration, but only because he immediately clicked with my nature first time I read him. It is no coincidence I play some form of Dwarfs in every setting, including 40k.

But picking and eating copious amounts of berries is just one of my favourite things in life. Always been. Though it sounds a lot better when put that way, Oxy. So yes, I’m gathering bleak nature’s scarce bounty to survive the harsh winter (else I must resort to eat tjublings, but don’t tell @tjub ).

Cheers
