Great Taurus

Hey everyone.
Ive just started work on my Great Taurus for my new Army for Age of fantasy by one page rules.

I thought id show of the start to finish progress as i get this big boy ready for the table.

The model is 3d printed from the lost kingdom miniatures range of infernal dwarves - Dainn Longbeard on Taurus. However i like to modify my leader models so that they are individual so ill be digitally sculpting my own hero to replace the Dainn miniature.

For the moment here are some work in progress pics of the cleanup and prep work of building the Taurus model. Ive used a combination of greenstuff and liquid greenstuff to get the model as clean as possible. (the print itself was ok, but i wanted to remove all the fine lines and any spots where the supports had been removed.) Its now at a point 3where im happy to undercoat it. I plan in using a 3 stage zenathal highlight.

This truely is a lovey sculpt and im so happy to be finially working on it.

Very nice, one can see you’ve put a lot of minuscule work in it to make it look flush and nice and clean, good dedication here  this will be a great centerpiece in the end. Looking forward!

Thank you. Yes ive been waiting to redo a chaos dwarf army ever since i got into 3d printing. (I had a chaos dwarf army bacj in 4th edition warhammer and loved playing them back in the day). I just had to wait untill someone did great sculpts or i gained enough sculpting skill to do my own. Im lucky enough that lost kingdim miniatures did sone awesome models and ive got limited sculpting skills so decided now is the time. I just hope i can do a paint job worthy of such an awesome model. We will see as Project Chorf progresses.

There is quite much green on your photos. But all of it is just smoothing the print and glue lines and such?

Yes most of the green is liquid greenstuff. I use it as a smoothing agent to help with filling micro lines that resin printers leave. Too be honest its probably a little over the top but this is my army general and army centre piece so i want it to he as good as it can be.
